I’m looking for an American fighter other than the P-38 and I was wondering if anyone has the P-40E-1 in Tunisia and can tell me whether I should buy it or not.
Fantastic jack of all trade. But is it needed? Allies already got the best air force in the campaign, so it might not be needed. If you consider buying this at full price, I’m pretty sure you already use 10 slots, which means you don’t really NEED a jack of all trade plane: Hurricane already shreds other planes. With Spitfire, it’s even easier. Then for CAS… ooh boy you got choice. Beau… A20… or simply the first tiny plane with it’s 1000lb bomb.
So. Needed? no. If you got the funds and just want fun? Go for it.
I actually haven’t even started Tunisia plan on starting after I’m done with Normandy so I was planning on actually using it as a starter plane. Should I? Because none of the other premium look at all interesting.
I have it and live it, but got to get used to minimal bomb load, have to be precise and rely on people marking, but shred enemy air and I got my shark teeth on it so it looks badass…
That’s EXACTLY why I want it, I got the event shark teeth a few months ago and since this beast of an aircraft sadly isn’t in the Pacific Campaign (which I think it should be) I’m probably gonna buy the one in Tunisia
Oh. Well in that case, yes. It’s a very good jack of all trade. Beware thought: It’s master of none. as CAS, all other allies plane are better. as fighter? Starter hurricane is just perfect, or a bit later, the spit that outmaneuver anything.
P40 is very good as it dables in both.
I think this plane is not worth talking about. 1) there is exactly the same aircraft in Stalingrad, but with a good bomb load. 2) it costs 5000 gold. for comparison, the Germans have a plane worth 4,300 and it is better in everything. And as a fighter is stronger, and has a 250 kg bomb.
I say wait for a sale, unless you’re new to the campaign then I say get it.
Right now IMO spitfire Mk B and ME109 are the best fighters in Tunisia, I think P-40 will be pretty good unless against a ME109
On that note I think I’ll make a suggestion about the ME109 in Tunisia…
