This was a fun event-challenge to complete.

This guy had a REALLY bad day on the battlefield (he got hit by a 30mm while trying to shoot planes)

I have challenged myself by completing “kill 15 enemies with pistol” and “make 15 headshots” in 1 battle
Technically, you didn’t shoot it down with machine gun. You get the kill most likely because you are the last one who shot it before it smash into the ground. Mg can’t do much damage to plane. Those plane looks intact before smashing into the ground.
It’s not that hard to shoot one down. All you have to do hit it the plane a few times, which can disable the plane’s ability to pull-up or turn.
In the 2nd video, did you not notice the pilot appeared to be having a difficult time controlling the plane? this is because I landed critical hits that significantly reduced the performance and airspeed of the aircraft… resulting in a crash.
Same situation in the 3rd video. I wish it was a longer clip… but essentially the P-38 took too many hits from my MG34. His plane stalled, and he had no ability to pull up once he entered a death-dive.
It seems like the plane already flying awkwardly before you open fire.
Xbox can only record video clips in 30 second fragments at 1080 resolution. So you’re only seeing a portion of the overall engagement.

I had a lot of fun flying in this event. I didn’t mind being a target while the ground army showed me where they were. Made strafing very fun.
Yes it sure was fun.
I took out several planes with MGs even though you can only get one reward for that.
And while flying, there was much more ground fire trying to take me out.
