I took advantage of the May promotions and got my Firefly. I read on Reddit and other places people saying it was a Tiger and Panther killer tank. But when actually playing the game at Rank V, you face the Tiger II, and then you see how nerfed the Allies are. Your chances against the Tiger II are minimal. You won’t be able to break its gun, and even if you kill the gunner, another one takes his place and shoots before you can reload. Looking closely, the armor of this Sherman is that of a Rank 3. Any shot from the other side of the map from an anti-tank gun will kill you, just like any Rank 3 Panzer or weak anti-tank guns will too. When this tank came out in the Normandy package, its equivalent was a Panzer IV, but somehow this tank became a Rank 5 in the Allies line. Another injustice you see is the German premium tank package at Rank 4 being a Panther and the Allies one being an Achilles. Poor Achilles doesn’t even have a roof; any soldier can kill your crew. Its turret can be said to be welded to the chassis because of the nonexistent rotation speed. Basically, in War Thunder, the Tiger II is 6.7 and the Sherman Firefly is 4.7/5.0 BR, and the Panther is 6.0 and the Achilles is 3.3.

Enlisted isn’t only about tank vs tank combat, thus using WT BR system as an argument is complete nonsense.
It doesn’t matter if Firefly is going to be BR4 or BR5, because it stays in the same queue anyway.
But it definitely shouldn’t be BR3, because there’s no way this should face BR1 tanks.
Btw. You can easily kill Tiger 2 with Achilles and Firefly. So this is skill issue on your side.

It should be br 4 when they make more queues. Currently it doesnt matter if its br 4 or 5 but i agree that it should never be br 3
