They are looking rather good in their paratroopers uniforms. Giving them fg42 even make sense (I normally prefer g43, because…)
Are there OTHER squads with those uniforms? This one is already a legacy squad, I wonder if there are more.
I think there’s one or two more legacy mortar squads with those uniforms, sadly I don’t have them but I do have a Berlin legacy squad that has paratrooper uniforms.
Even though Italians don’t have much atm, I prefer those over what the Germans have right now.
Well, except for that Horn STG squad, which is one of my favorites to look at.
Yes, all of them are currently locked only to one specific campaign.
Which sucks extremely.

I think all mortar squads come with that skin as default for normandy only? unless IM mistaken
I chose that squad thinking YES!, i want Fallschirmjager mortar squad…but it was only normandy.
Do they? I always thought it’s unique to parachute divisions/battalions/something and so?
It’s pretty lame if all mortar squads have a para outfit in Normandy now just because the Normandy legacy squad has one for obvious reasons.
yup. its just the default Mortar for Normandy. I was bummed when I found that out too, Because they arent paratroopers anywhere else
The devs just took the default outfit from the squad that was in the Normandy campaign and gave it without much thought as default to all mortar squads on the Normandy preset.
That’s very meh.
Instead, they should make para outfit available for the normandy legacy squad in all campaigns. And the all other mortar squads should have classic wehrmacht gear. Because obviously, they’re not paratroopers.

these are the classes with paratroopers uniforms:
Normandy:
( green olive tunic as you shown above )
Berlin:
problem is, not all machinegunners or flametrooper have the smock splinter varient and the helmet
sadder thing, for whatever reason, they only wear their proper uniform in the legacy campaign.
so the 3rd mortar battalion becomes all of a sudden regular heer units in berlin, sg, or anywhere but normandy.
Very interesting! And very strange that most mortarmen are like this.
What is fun, thought, is that I don’t necessarily have to bring mortars in each mortar squads and can use other specialists or riflemen… I’ll fiddle a bit!
