True, but T-50 has been nerfed tho. Thank God.
Before nerf it was possible to throw FIVE set packs without damaging the damn thing. I even have a vid about this.
Yeah Explosive is kind of a substitute for infantry opening the tank’s hatch and throw grenade into it. Moreover, Soviet tanks in WWII have the reputation of poor armor quality that their armor can be penetrated easily and kill it’s crew even with their sloped armor.
Most tanks in Enlisted are unrealistic tanky (especially the Soviet ones) that anything apart from powerful cannon and bombs (which most new/low level players don’t have access to) could destroy them. Therefore it is necessary to provide explosive pack for everyone in the game to deal with these tanks.
Hahahahahaha I completely love the edit.
It’s not though, even aircraft bombs that were Hundreds of pounds in weight almost never killed tanks in WW2 unless they basically hit them, or right next to them, so a small bundle of TNT or any other non directional explosive was basically useless against tanks irl.
Soldiers also did not typically carry explosives, and when they did they were in quantity’s sufficient enough to do anything to tanks.
Kit like the Hawkins, Gamon bomb and other non directional chargers were notoriously useless against tanks, the former was on occasionally capable to tracking a tank if they were bundled.
The real question is, since this is a game that basically always departs from reality, is why they want ever solider to be AT capable all the time.
It’s not like tanks are hard to kill in game, of late I kind of avoid using mine because its so easy to get killed in them
That was not a thing, they locked from the inside, total Hollywood thing the tank hatch open move.
Except unlike axe or hands it can be thrown 20m. A minor detail, especially on 50m wide maps.
Balkenkreut still cubism.
Also I’ve just checked.
Oneshoted jumbo with explosive pack.
So yeah, skill issue.
I’ve already used up all my creativity on this picture, I can’t do more
Is it tho? I mean, det packs are completely out of place historically “speaking”. But considering that is a cheap option to deal with enemy tanks I guess we kinda need them.
But keeping in mind the late nerfs we’ve been witnessing maybe they’re trying to remove det packs as a way to destroy tanks. I mean, some kind of an unnoticed way, not directly, so players won’t complain about this change.
It was allready the case before so no change cause this tank has so small engine deck and everything else give just a “meh” result … forget exploi pack on it prefer a good old panzerfaust
they didnt, its very surface level history that people spread about “tank hatches couldnt be opened irl”.
most early war tanks didnt have a safety system and they could be opened from the outside, especially when some force was involved.
only after experiencing this maldesign, tank engineers all deleted this flaw and mid/late war tanks were save from that. that means around the moscow campaign time, hatches were commonly opened by enemies.
many tanks had due to countless engineering details/issues surprising weak spots that could be hacked in with an axe. everytime a new enemy tank got captured, engineers instantly analysed it in order to find weaknesses and created efficient counter strategies (ironically enough the exact opposite of what enlisted players do when they encounter a challenge )
I have personally never read of any tanks being killed from enemy infantry crawling on top and opening a hatch, only once did i read of a charge being dropped into an open commanders hatch from a second story window during the fighting in Arnhem, Above from Quara.
I specifically refered to german-soviet fights on the early eastern front, this document has nothing to do with it.

Interesting. I can tell you first hand that I have not been experiencing the issues that you are describing for the most part. There does seem to be a bug with the Jumbo right now where explosions (also from AT launchers, AT mines, and other tanks) are damaging and killing tankers but leaving the tank itself undamaged.
Otherwise, I’ve been killed plenty by explosive packs. Did some testing and found out you can even get away with airbursting it above a tank to kill it. Also rolling it under works just fine too. (Personally I think the explosive pack is OP on a fundamental level, and if it were me, I’d remove it from the game, but for now its still here).
As far as rockets go, Ally rockets seem to be working far more effectively than they should. I’m seeing M8 and HVAR rockets killing tanks without even landing close to them. Meanwhile, the Axis rockets rarely seem to effect Ally tanks at all. Even landing them within 5m. Even outside of AT uses we are seeing other issues. M8 and HVAR rockets doing damage through walls, taking out all fortifications inside in the process, in addition to killing entire teams.
Cooking Grenades? What is that?
It a simply superb recipe for making red meat palpable
research yourself. asking for sources is low level academia behavior and a sign of being low level informed. if you really want to understand the topic, invest time and create a cohesive overall understanding. people throwing quotes & “facts” will not grow intellectually.
unacademic is to affirm things without leaving several sources
historians must be careful with the sources, because they tend to be fanciful
It seems you never went through the academy
