This review will be about Sergey Zimin, a hero of the soviet union, who voulenteered to the front and defended his country with his machinegun, despite being disabled.

History:
Zimin voulenteered for the front, despite being disabled, to protect his homeland. In his first fights near Moscow, he was heavily wounded and spent a lot of time in hospital, in crititcal condition. When he got back to the front, the germans already reached Stalingrad.
In 1943, Zimins unit (Shironin Guards) were attacked by german artillery fire suffering losses. Shortly after the artillery fire, 25 tanks and 15 military vehicles of the german army attacked with the support of a huge amount of german soliders. The unit of Zimin managed to defend their poistions agains the first waves of german attacks. Zimin participated in close hand to hand combat, despite being disabled, and killed over 20 german soldiers while firing constantly with his machinegun, before being killed.
In total, the unit of Zimin managed to kill over 110 enemy soldiers, 15 tanks, 2 anti-tank cannons and did not let the german soldiers pass, till the soviet reinforcement arrived, who pushed back the remaining enemy soldiers. No one of Zimins unit survived the attack, but they stopped the overwhelming german units. Sergey Zimin became hero of the soviet union.
