my idea is to be able to send your squad to the rear, all the soldiers & their equipment go to the reserve. you are able to pull squad back at any time

You mean unequipping all gear from the entire squad and resetting them to default kar98k/knife?
yes! also, make a way to equip soldiers back faster (currently i tought about selecting more soldiers and give them identical equipment)
I noticed that if you double click a piece of equipment, it unequips it. Really helped me clear out soldiers faster 
yeah but it is damned tedious to swap out soldiers by individually unequipping them - I modified a bunch of Soviet carbines and have to unequip them from every soldier sent to reserve or academy so I can use them in the actual fighting squads

I never said it was the solution. I only said that it can help you while we wait for a proper system.
