Either buff the ROF to 360 RPM as base across all semi auto OR make the dispersion to almost as good as bolt actions.
OR you can just remove insanely idiotic dispersion mechanic and carry on, I’m even willing to compromise to make 3 star upgrade completely remove dispersion if you’re so inclined to continue being stupid and retain dispersion mechanic.

current semi auto situation is partly the reason why people skip BR IV and go to BR V, causing me to fight against hitler/tojo personal assassins running with weapons crafted using hitlerium and tojominium using faulty garands that lags between shot AND cant hit the side of a barn
Honestly thats more an issue of the imbalance between BR3 and BR5, like personally idm it, but yeah the imbalance is kinda mental with the shaky ass garand vs meth’ed up supersoldiers.
But on the flip side if you do buff the Garand and etc, you now have BR2, or even BR1 on occasion, fighting supersolders from an even worse position.
I think a better long term solution would be to sort out the BR MM, and massively discourage BR3 vs BR5, I still think there should be a BR6 which can only fight other BR6 or maybe BR5 which is reserved for the weird prototype or immediately post war designs, like the IS-3, the Maus and etc.
BR 3 should only fight up to BR 4 and no lower than BR 2.
I think it should be BR1~BR2 BR3~BR4 BR5, three stages. BR3 weapons are a bit too strong for BR2, especially tanks.
Its especially bitter that the weak semi autos with bigger magazines have the slowest rate of fire - those are supposed to be spam fired, otherwise you might aswell use pistols instead.

i think people will do just fine with buffed armaguerra as well when get uptiered against garand, like how garand user have to cope when confronted by buffed gewehr 43

If semi autos would deal the same damage as bolt actions - while having just like bolt actions no dispersion, I would probably pick them even in BR5 over select fire rifles.
So actually why not? I dont see a reason to use them right now, since SMGs are generally better in almost every aspect, in the end less full auto gameplay would make the game more interesting - limiting full auto playstyle is the wrong approach, but buffing the other options “reasonably” isn’t ruining the game for those who like full auto gameplay, rather its making gameplay more diverse.
All that being said, I do think an overbuff for semis would ruin the perfect balance for bolt actions right now.
I think semis should get their dispersion complete removed, that would be enough for them to become good again.
Semis got nerfed to rof and also are too inaccurate and their dmg can compete against bolts and SF rifles, ARs.
Shame about G41 that is unplayable due reload speed, same with Meunier A6 even tho it’s significantly stronger. It’s weird how BR2 semis are better than BR3 semis it shouldn’t be like that. Armaguerra and M42 kick ass. KP-P-135 with buffed dmg would be the best semi auto at BR2.
Dude that reload is the WORST. Honestly though the visual recoil is almost as bad. Sucker jumps so bad no matter if you crouch or not. Couple that with a hooded front post and I just can’t aim the thing as effectively as the M1 Garand. Keep shooting just to the left and right of people cause it’s difficult for me to keep the actual post on the body instead of the edge of the hood
I see zero reason why they still haven’t downtiered G43 to BR3 with all new overpowered additions to the Americans and with Soviets having SVT-38, ZH-29 could receive some serious buff to the accuracy (it can’t hit anything atm) and also give it 20 rounds that way we won’t need to downtier it. About excessive reload you can also say that about Sturmpistole (6sec). Anyway most TT semis (outside SVT-38) need buff to the accuracy with less of a recoil and dispersion. Ideally dmg per shot should also be increased.
Full auto rifles also need a recoil rework. They have way too little right now
Exactly. Shooting a round to the chest and seeing the white mark “hit” while the dude just stands there like nothing and stabs you.
I guess they deliberately want to make German semis suck - since they had semis only very late into the war, but this asymmetrical balance means that German players simply have no reason to pick those guns at all, which kinda sucks.
Germany has basically great Bolt actions in low BR - then only decent or mediocre stuff up to BR4, then BR5 is suddenly great again.
MG34 at BR3 isnt terrible, MP40 is okayish, and BR4 Beretta isnt terrible either, but most other stuff kinda sucks compared to other factions.
