And that DF has a odd way defining “selective-fire” rifles. At least thats my main concern about the FG.

Fg-42-2 has the same scope as g43. But for some reason actual magnification is higher. I even made a thread about it months ago, but nothing changed.
No they don’t, unironically. 42-2 is a noskill weapon, and I’m telling that as a frequent user of it.
Also you still can use 42-2 in burst mode, so one bullet will hit the enemy anyway.

In practice the aiming is pretty good, in game it sucks! I don’t know what is wrong with it but seems every aimed shot is different? Sometimes I have to aim high then low then center. It is just hit or miss?
I have to at times fire three shot or 4 just to get one kill if I’m lucky. High, low , center until I get a hit?
