Almost nobody ever complained about ANY semi-automatics. In fact, most complaints when it comes to trooper weapons were towards your most favourite FG 42 and full autos for troopers in general.

i thought so too but the way they nerfed semis out of the blue with no warning there had to be alot of crying somewhere for them to do something so drastic or maybe they hate the us tree
The reason was to make G43 not as good anymore, in order to push as many players as possible to go full FG42 squads.
