For example it could be kinda nice if you could let snipers with secondary weapon slot unlock use more basic rifleman weapons - they already kind of can use the basic starter rifle + a sniper rifle, why not let them at least use all bolt actions?
I can see how M2 Carbine + Sniper rifle could be cursed, so I’m not asking for that lol

Do alot of people even use it over backpacks? I kinda feel like more ammo always beats this - though I can see it being powerful to bring in two MGs, because switching your weapon is faster than reloading.
Actually… now that I am thinking about it, bringing two Gewehr 41 could also work wonders, skipping a reload in a dire moment could make for a big difference.

I know they do, but for example I way prefer the USMC Springfield over the starter one and it pisses me off I can’t use it
I know that too, but it ranges from actually broken (T Enfield) to utterly useless (most Kar98s) to just really frustrating (most offset scope rifles)
I’d just happily carry a real bolt action, since I usually just have a lone emergency sniper in some squads that can’t use anything more useful for things like MG emplacement enjoyers, but 99% of the time I just wish I had my go-to bolt actions
Guess it’s just a “balance” or specialization purposes thing
