Scopes for Japan Some BR III IV V RECON and LMG Love

A long time ago, I did a topic on the Ru Forum about the 50-charge Sig Ke7. But unfortunately there was no reliable source, and there were only guesses about the number of cartridges in the store and where it was used. It’s great that I came across your topic and found out the information I need! 1 my  = 10

Well Forgotten Weapons made topic about the 50 round sale they sold them to China,Ethiopia and other nations. But later nations preferred smaller magazine for a game it will work but in reality the big magazine was bad idea

It’s seem like 25 round mag (from my perspective).
And I found the article this picture belongs to through the watermark
This is part of the article

Text translation:

In addition to being exported to our country, the gun was also exported to Ethiopia, Africa. The bullet was changed to 7.65×57 mm, and a 50-round large-capacity curved magazine was added to the ammunition supply. Our army is not equipped with this magazine.

From another china article:

国民党军于1937年编写的《近代九种步兵轻兵器教练与说明》中,就把捷克ZB-26、比利时FN-30、法国哈其开斯M-1922型8mm等称作轻机枪,唯独将瑞士启拉利KE-7称作自动步枪
In the “Nine Types of Modern Infantry Light Weapons Training and Instructions” compiled by the Kuomintang Army in 1937, the Czech ZB-26, Belgian FN-30, French Hachikis M-1922 8mm, etc. are called light machine guns. Only the Calling the Swiss Kirali KE-7 an automatic rifle

If they considered it an automatic rifle and not an LMG, why would they use a 50 round extended magazine for it?

I watched the video twice and he didn’t mention about selling 50-round ver. to China. He just showed a 50-round magazine sold to Ethiopia.

This is from forgotten weapon the picture that I used This KE-7, with an extended magazine, is in the collection of Reed Knight I don’t know what are you talking about what watermark when the picture that I posted is from collection that forgotten weapon mentioned.

Then you have the first photo that I showed you :

‘‘The most classic photo of the 19th Route Army of the Guangdong Army: 128 Song Shanghai Anti-Japanese War, the Guangdong soldiers holding the “Switzerland Kelali KE light machine gun” are still wearing military uniforms during the Northern Expedition and wearing large caps, and this photo is generally used as illustrations in teaching materials.’’

They used the 50 round version that was the first that arrived later they reduced the mag size to 25 and later adopted even smaller mags but at first the weapon was used as a light machine gun that’s why it had big magazines the later versions could use the big magazines but the Chinese adopted even smaller magazines then 25… but at first the original magazines that they received where the 50 round the same weapon was sold to Ethiopia …

The hero of the Luding Bridge: the KE-7 (Qilali) light machine gun of the Switzerland SIG company (sohu.com)

I don’t know will you prefer some paper gun then actual gun ? This is the best option you have for the Japanese tech tree they can swap the models for more historic accuracy and make the small mag to be the black Chinese copy and the other original one to be 50 round version.

Here go to 4:37 and you will realize why they stopped using the 50 round mag:

Here also:
The Kerali KE-7 light machine gun, a version without a bipod, was once called an automatic rifle by the military (sina.cn)

They even mention the 25 and 50 round magazines

And there is a third version with smaller mag without bipod that is the automatic rifle version just read the articles

Right down corner
You copied it from an article denying that the Chinese military has 50-round magazines, but claimed that the ones pictured is 50-round.

Wut?
Near 4:37 of the video, it is said that it is the third largest light machine gun in China, second only to the ZB-26 and FN1930.
Where is the mention of 50 round magazine?

Where did you get this conclusion?
In the first article link, there is only mention of the existence of 25-round and 50-round magazines in the weapon data section, and there is no mention of China’s use of 50-round magazines.

It says KE-7 have 25 round and 50 round, doesn’t mean china have 50 round.

Conclusion: No source clearly affirms that China uses 50-round magazines, but one source clearly denies it.

The Donkey said to the Tiger, “The grass is blue.”

The Tiger replied, “No, the grass is green.”

The discussion heated up and the two decided to go before the Lion, the King of the jungle.

The Donkey began to shout, “Your highness, is it true that the grass is blue?”

The Lion replied, “If you believe that it’s true, then the grass is blue.”

The Donkey continued, “The Tiger disagrees with me, contradicts and annoys me. Please punish him.”

The King declared, “The Tiger will be punished with five years of silence.”

The Donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way.

The Tiger accepted his punishment, but before he left he asked the Lion, “Why have you punished me? After all, the grass is green.”

The Lion replied, “In fact, the grass is green.”

The Tiger asked, “So, why are you punishing me?”

The Lion replied, “That has nothing to do with the question of whether or not the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is not logical for an intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey. And on top of that, come and bother me with a question like that.

So this is my final reply to you I have showed you pictures even on videos with the 50 round mag … the automatic rifle version of the gun looked like this:

The rest where used like LMGs you can even see on the picture how the soldiers where using them not like automatic rifles… only this small mag version was the automatic rifle type… If you wanna post some serious source by real researcher that claim they never had 50 round mags post if not move on.

Same was with this Makarov guy that was claiming that :
Model 1930
SIG MKMO 1930

Mengjiang never had SIG MKMO 1930 didn’t had no source to back it up to prove that Jowett, Philip S. was wrong in his book… So go on make one serious research that proves that they never had SIG KE 7 with 50 rounds in China and I will believe you if not I’m not gonna reply to more troll posts same like the rest of German ‘‘not toxic’’ community …

I reiterate my point:
I never doubted the existence of the 50 round KE-7, all I cared about was whether it was used by the Chinese.

One of the picture you cited came from an article that clearly denied that the Chinese army uses 50 round magazines. You can say that’s not an “serious source”, but where’s your “serious source” about china use 50 rounds, I don’t even see a “non serious source” that says they do.

You shouldn’t assume something is true if you can’t confirm it, otherwise you’re logically the same as those conspiracy theorists who claim UFOs exist on earth.

Then look at the picture at 4:40 what mag is that ?

被遺忘的抗戰利器——瑞士啟拉利輕機槍(SIG Neuhausen KE7) (youtube.com)

Okay, you got me. I admit the magazine length does look different than the 25 round, but it’s also different from the 50 round we’ve seen in the past, this one looks straighter.
Than how do we know how many rounds are in the magazine in the picture? Maybe this one is a field modified version that is unrecorded.

Another quibbling argument

It might just be a 25-round magazine that was improperly installed or fell off.

Why would they field modify something that they had :

‘‘Sichuan Huaxing Machinery Factory According to relevant information, in the thirties of the last century, the national government purchased 3,025 Qilali light machine guns from the Switzerland government , and Sichuan Huaxing Machinery Factory copied more than 7,900 Qilali light machine guns with heat dissipation holes in the sleeve, known as…’’

So they had 50 round copy mag ,25 round copy mag as the war progressed they started making 20 round copies and removed the Bipod from some of the guns and turned it to Automatic rifle that will be perfect BR V weapon for Japan so people don’t need to use the paper prototype that we have now if they don’t want to… there is even some 40 round mag SIG KE 7 mentioned here and there but I never seen picture of it but I have seen a lot 20,25 and 50 round mags of Chinese design.

SIG KE 7

This thing here is perfect automatic rifle for BR V with the 20 round mag
