Browsing through the forums, I notice that on a few threads there seems to be some question about the level of immersion vs arcadiness this game is aimed at. Very understandable, I do find it bizarre that even in terms of War Thunder, this game has some elements from AB (a penetration & drop indicator for the tank gunner) while having SB elements (restricted view in planes and tanks) and having some elements that are beyond even WT SB (modeled viewports for tanks).
That said, my impression that the game is aimed at cinematic immersion over historical simulation seems to be hinted at in the announcement of a replay system when the devs describe Enlisted as “a very cinematic game.” Thus, it does not seem that the intention is to create a simulator to learn the purpose of and emulate historical methods. Rather, it does seem like it is oriented around creating an action packed experience that differs from “arcade” games like WT RB&AB or Wargaming by having historical sides and general situations that would be fitting for cinema. It is arcadey, just not in the sense of some of these games where it feels more like Girls Und Panzer than WW2.
Would be nice to have some input, especially from devs if I understand the scope correctly, but also if I am missing anything.

simple.
historical accurate and slow title = Niche
Arcady yet realistic( ish ) while being acessible and somewhat fast = more appealing.
devs weren’t really going for historical accuracy ( despite paying content creators and advertisement team to make others believe was one in the first place ) since the alpha.
where pz III b are in moscow ( despite only being used for training ) and BA-11s that were supposed to be used in leningrad ( and not in huge numbers ).
then made clear when jumbos and fg42s were pretty much given to everyone.
and “nailed in” with mkhbs, stg45s, and all that other stuff.
so, yeah.
either that, or have fewer people to play with.
because on the other hand, historical accurate games doesn’t mean are or can be fun regarding certain aspects.
such as, no airplanes for axis ( or very limited during normandy ),
awefull experience for axis in normandy, ( even worse if you get to play with italy in tunisia due to their equipment and such )
so yeah, i guess it’s … " best " if it keeps going the way it’s going on rn.
( with few exception if possible… like, no tigers in stalingrad pls. also limit the fg. )
the reason why you don’t see many threads anymore complaining about historical accuracy, it’s because everyone had to make peace with it. devs didn’t do anything when alot of people complained about those unhistorical vehicles being present back then, still didn’t do anything up to this point.
