Scene destruction

Destructible buildings will be fun!
Some developers think that this will completely destroy the bunker, but I think the limited scene damage will be good (when the building is damaged to a certain extent, it will not be able to continue to be damaged)

The destruction level is around a game from 2005 and u think they can add destruction of building ? lol

Well not sure about that. Let’s say you have to capture a building and the enemy is defending it. Ok, so with enough firepower you can bring the building down on the enemy team and kill them. But you haven’t really captured it now, haven’t you? You can’t really say you captured it if the isn’t there anymore.

I think it is possible to allow the player to destroy one wall of the building, like some buildings in Normandy, but the overall framework of the building remains. Even without remodeling, we can still construct this scene with destructible ri and these exists destroyed buildings in current editor.

Even in most games that provide building destruction, fully destructible buildings are rare, and they all have more or less immortal buildings. such as some boundaries of the map.

hmmmm, what about this then?
If you manage to capture a building without destroying it then that objective is captured, but if the building is destroyed before you capture it, then that objective fails and the defending team gets a new cap zone to compensate for the loss of the one you destroyed.

Cant work because some point with strong resistence can be tanken only spamming explosive and more explosive, now if we do as you say defender can spam explosive like shit and attacker no because they can fail the objectives

Or most fun way defender blow up their control point for avoid it beign captured

i thought it was obvious that damage would be made only by the attackers, Also grenades and det packs wouldn’t damage it as much as arty, bomber strikes, and tank shots. I think this would sort of help with greyzone tank campers as well. What’s the point of sitting in the greyzone and shooting the cap zone if you can destroy it and lose that objective?

Kill count, K/D, xp farm, trollig, make your team lose because you find fun it, a lot of point

Or, make it that the destruction of a capture point/area is still a better outcome for the attacker than the defender, but not as rewarding as a proper capture:
Basically destroying objective yields, like, 100 tickets, rather than 200?

But, this would really raise questions like - how to prevent ROs/mortars/planes and sometimes tanks from nuking it from safe(r) distance…?

I think the destruction system of BF: Bad Company 2 (2010) (the best of the BF, let’s be honnest) is very good.

Here is a video that explain it, and the guy got a russian accent (for the devs):
