So, I play on EU, during peak times, usually with all factions selected. Where are those supposed decent matches? Here’s a short recap:
Game 1:
Someone builds a rallypoint that gets most of the team stuck
Half the team either leaves or does nothing for most of the match:
Absolutely awful, game took forever and there wasn’t much I could do on my own.
Game 2:
Enemy team has a 4-stack on top of being already pretty strong
My team as usual decides to be “useful” and go afk in spawn
4 leavers, half the team has no real respawns (I just mentally checked out and flew around with a plane and still had 8 somehow…)
Bad
Game 3:
Actually “somewhat” balanced. Touched a plane, team lost 3 points almost instantly. They were pretty slow to react but at least they did seem to realise we need to actually be on the cap zone to not lose…eventually. Pretty sure we ended up winning (by the thinnest margins) because enemy team had too many no-respawn deadweights
Really frustrating overall, just had to sit there and get shot for half the game
Game 4:
Sat “defending” for 10 minutes (enemies refused to leave spawn), took a plane out, 1 minute later point is lost. Teammate crashed a plane into me, sat on the ground for 5 more minutes bored out of my mind, took another plane out, got flakked, took gorillaz out and went all the way back to tnt the flak guy
Team decides to instantly lose 2 more points. End up racking up 29 kills on my OuiOuiMinator (First time I actually used up all the Meunier A6 ammo lol)
Leavers and no-respawn enjoyers abound
Match was boredom distilled.
Game 5:
Im BR2 infantry with BR5 planes…
Slapped one plane spammer with the Ki-84 ko about a bit before he flakked me (blew up a random M26 too)
Rest was me on foot, fighting BR5 infantry with my trusty BR2 garbage lol
I dunno what on earth the rest of the team was doing. Lots of them seemed to have actual weapons. Again, half of the team has no real respawns, no one was really contesting the planted bombs until the very last one
Match rating: another sad stomp (yeah, I should have actual guns, but I never get BR5 japan anyway and didn’t feel like bothering with making a lineup, plus, it shouldn’t be down to a 1 out of 10 players to do stuff)
Game 6:
Actually fun. Ended up as a loss - someone built a rally point that got most of the team in a place where you can’t get to the cap zone lol
Still, we got to 5th cap zone and it could have been a win if more people build rallies somewhere else too
Match rating: actually really good
Game 7:
Direct quote from the stream: “hatefully miserable”
“Attacking” team refused to do ANYTHING but sit in spawn, snipe and camp a flak. Couldn’t even goof around with a plane because they just sat there doing nothing. 23 minutes of pure suffering
Game 8:
“What my team doin”
We’d just lose cap zones to random guy accidentally walking into it
Overall the match was kinda meh, but almost fun. The fact it was right after the worst game I had in a long time might have left me more sour about it
Game 9:
Another defence. On Airfield. I actually left it I was so done
Game 10:
The myths are true! Teams can do things!
Ended up as a really even match that could have gone either way (won with only 150 tickets left, after I ratted most of their forward spawns)
Match rating: “finally a nice match, for once”
Game 11:
“enemies dare to play the game, ALT+F4 immediately”
At least got to fly a plane for a while. Overall it was another sad stomp though
Sooo…out of 11 games
1 really good one
1 decent one
One or two where they were bad but one could goof off or do things to ease the pain
And majority ranging from bad to “hatefully miserable”
Tanks should be priority one in my book.
