any improvements on this SMG?
S1 is still better

But Type 100 is true Japanese style.
So Type 100.
They feel quite similar.
I’ll probably use the Type as my workhorse SMG.
S1-100 on my medic squad
Type 100 on any SMG soldier not in a medic or assault squad
Type 100 needs a damage buff.
Why? It’s already doing more damage than it has any right to, 8mm Nambu carries half the energy of 9mm Luger and less than half that of 7.62x25 Tokarev, but only hits .1 lighter than SMGs chambered for either.
A recoil reduction along with better reload time(since it was their main SMG and they would be better trained with it) could make it worth using over the Type Su. But right now the only reason I can see to use it is for LARPing.
It already recoils barely harder than the S1, and does a little more damage, and reloads a little bit faster, with the same rate of fire at the cost of 2 rounds in the magazine. I’m failing to see how it’s not worth using over the S1-100. The Mp28 loses the bayonet and reloads slower, but fires faster and gets 50 round sticks. The Type 2a lo
Type Su is Japanese name for S1-100. And I agree that the S1 is better practically than the type 100, so the only appeal of the type 100 is that it’s a type 100 and is iconic.
5.4 and 5.2 hit power take the same number of shots to kill. Ditto with the upgraded versions. So with the same fire rate on both guns, you’ve given up 2 rounds and 10 points of vertical recoil control for pretty much nothing. It might as well be a skin for the S1-100.
I didn’t say that, I said the Type 100 is better in almost every way, save capacity.
28-22 /= 10, my man, but your end point stands. It’s not drastically different. To my way of thinking, the small ways the Type 100 is better make it worth using.
The Early War Type-100 has almost no benefits and has much more recoil than the S1-100. Better to just wait for the Late War Type-100.
Upgraded S1 100 sure its another MP34 but its better than the Type 100 that’s a peashooter.
Currently using MP 28s on my assaulters in Pacific.
The upgraded Type 100 hits harder and fires just as fast. Peashooter?
I haven’t given it a shot yet, the slow aim scared me away. How’s it do with the giant magazine?
As someone who is so used to stuff like PPSh, PPS and MP40, the Type 100 is on the weaker side of things while the MP 28 is best of what the Japanese have so far, just need to be fully upgraded to maximize its full potential.
They’re not terribly different, but if that’s your preference I ain’t gonna judge. I’ll even pick up a few and try them out, though I’ll admit I’m not sure the +1 second reload and slower aiming are good trades for better rate of fire and mag capacity. Plus, I do love me an SMG with a bayonet XD
If you want to be Navy sailor: S1-100
If you want to be Army soldier: Type 100 SMG
Type 2a > Type 1 > S1-100 > Type 100 > Mp28 50 mag
