I’ve played a game at Monastery (invasion) which we lost because a russian Guy was spamming extremely accurated MG42 rounds from the wall. As far as I know, there is no legitimate way of gaining the bipod MG42 (yeah, I checked it wasn’t an MG nest) in the campaign of Moscow (so much less, for Russians) so I think he was probably using some kind of hack/modmenu for gaining access to the weapon (and maybe controlling recoil at >300m).
What are your thoughs?
I’m afraid I forgot
Do you know if it’s possible to see the battle results after it’s ended?
So I can at least retrace the name xD
No there’s no replay in this alas.
Danm…
I guess I’ll take a cap If I met something like that again
Anyway, the other question of the topic was, is there any “legimitate” way that could happen?
Kill a German who has an MG-42
Dumb topic, Engineers can build MG42, this is across all factions

Engineer II has a machine gun nest upgrade and the Soviets should’ve get the historically accurate Maxim instead of MG42.

He already said he checked that is WASN’T a MG nest!
If it wasn’t a lest I can only think of the 34 and the prem one mounted, did you check the kill feed?
Maybe it was some other MG like MG34 that can be picked up and that Soviet is lucky to have lots of ammo left on it. MG42 in Moscow can only be built on MG nest or that one bunker from fortified district.

It can only have been an MG nest, there is no other way to gain the MG42 in the Moscow Campaign.
With no proof (Video/ Screen) one can only assume that it was, in fact a well placed MG Nest made to look like it wasn’t.
Unless it was a dev account testing, there’s no other way this could have happened.
I agree with you and also germany shouldnt get the MG42 in moscow battle, it ended in 7 January 1942 while the first usage was in Afrika Korps at Gazala in May 1942 so they should use mg34 instead
