Until recently, I saw some players criticizing the Russian BRV, saying they were selfish or even too many NOOBS.
What’s worse is that nowadays I often confirm this, haha. After doing a simple survey of 20 matches, I lost 13 of them, and of those 13, 5 were lost to enemy blitz mode, where they atack in massively and my team simply spread their legs like a Thai prostitute… and let everything slide…
And you know the worst part?
It wasn’t just the Russians I tested, but I’ll cover other nations in future posts, and I’ll try to provide some notes from the tests.
Playing BRV is getting tiring for all nations, because we’re encountering newcomers in the middle of the conflict using BR2 weapons against JETS…
Only in BRV can you see a humble Crusader trying to tickle the misfortune of a Bfw. Jagdpanther G1…
I only play solo for all nations tbh, no one I know plays this lmao, cant blame them either.
But its not too bad, BR2-BR3 you can solo carry at least, though I do wish I got to play more sniper as the soviets, I hate how Im always forced to play CQC because of bad teams. Saying that, thats kinda all nations, I just wanna chill out but shit teams force me to play reasonably.
Really friend, I say the same, I just want to play and have fun with my edited and upgraded soldiers, but it seems that the game in BR5 is full of bots or whatever they are…
Sure thing, bro. Tell me about it. That’s just the state of the game right now.
A lot of those “low-level” players you see up there often just have one single high-tier vehicle they pulled from a crate or event. They don’t have a full, proper lineup to support it. They just get that one shiny toy and can’t resist the urge to rush straight into top-tier matches to try it out, lineup be damned.
But aside from that, there’s a bigger, root-cause problem: The grind for new players is absolutely brutal.
Think about it. A pure F2P newbie has only 4 crew slots, no premium account, and no premium vehicles. It’s a massive achievement for them to even reach Rank III, let alone the top. I was able to speedrun to top tier in a couple of months myself, but I had a premium account and premium vehicles. For someone who doesn’t spend money, that road is long, painful, and exhausting.
So, if they get their hands on one high-tier weapon from an event and get tempted to test it in a high-BR game, I kinda get it. It’s a natural curiosity. It’s just…well, it sucks for the rest of us who get them on our team.
I’m not criticizing the newbies, I’m just criticizing the devs, because it’s their fault, as there should be a level lock for newbies.
Even if they get one vecicle BR5, they can only use it when they’ve actually unlocked BR5 in TT, but unfortunately, they let the madness run wild!
I grew in the game without spending on premium, and only after I finished the tree did I buy premiums!
But these newbies suffer too much just out of curiosity, and unfortunately, they end up harming veterans who want a healthy game!
I think I can say HEALTHY in the enlisted hahaha
I actually believe that a more robust and mandatory official tutorial system is what’s truly needed. I’ve previously shared all nine episodes of the official Enlisted Combat Notes—literally “Anton Teaches You How to Play Enlisted”—which cover everything from rally points, fire support, and air strikes to infantry anti-tank tactics, engineering, and skill point allocation.
In a way, the “textbook” is already there. If a new player patiently studied and practiced these, they wouldn’t perform poorly. But the problem is, there’s no active guidance forcing players to go through these essential lessons before jumping into battle. Most people just learn by trial and error—with many getting swept away by the current halfway through.
That’s why official onboarding is so critical. Players shouldn’t be allowed to rush into high-tier matches with just one high-level weapon, only to get completely crushed. They need to understand: Are the skill points in my squad distributed properly? Is my squad composition logical? Are my vehicles and weapons sufficiently upgraded to fully equip every soldier? These are the fundamentals.
This reminds me of how the tech tree worked before it was merged—though my memory is fuzzy, I recall progression felt more natural: you’d first unlock infantry, then basic vehicles and weapons, then gradually aircraft and tanks, followed by better primary weapons, and eventually同级 SMGs, machine guns, and advanced tanks.
Although the current tech tree requires unlocking multiple weapons before advancing to the next tier, this flaw becomes more obvious and harder to mitigate at higher levels. I’ve even seen players in the forums with entire squads that had zero skill points allocated—only a few soldiers had high-tier weapons, while the rest were still equipped with the default starter gear, the so-called “yellow sticks.” It’s almost laughable, if it weren’t so frustrating.
I’m a F2P player and I’ve been playing for just over a year now. Since I started I only ever played join any faction, even before the 50% bonus. Now I’m working on unlocking BR IV / BR V in every faction.
I just recently unlocked the FG 42 and equipped it to my squads. And to say the least, I kinda hate it. It’s just a skilless spam of automatic weapons.
This idea is very widespread here on the forum, but I don’t see the devs paying due attention to those who talk about it.
Because yes, there should be a massive tutorial for newbies, because I remember well when I started in November 2024, I literally opened the game and was ready to play my first match. The game simply didn’t show me where to equip weapons, edit skills, or view my vehicles…
It simply launcher me and played as if I were a veteran.
I mean you ain’t wrong, As a Br 5 german main, auto span is very common. However I don’t use the FG-42s. Instead, I use the Gewehr 43 8mm Kurtz for my AT Gunner (Cause of the gas masks) and the Burst Carno cause I find that I’m more accurate with it then with the FG-42s.
Can’t wait until it comes back as an event / BP weapon or even new TT BR V assaulter weapon. It looks like a dream weapon to use. Still, I have to stay content with my FG 42s. It’s actually quite fun to tap fire with a 950rpm weapon - it just feels like a low ammo MG 42.
It can’t compete with the T20s though sadly. I kept getting domed by T20 spam, and not to mention Allies HE spam from tanks and planes…
It honestly is. It quite accurate in my opinion, only downside is the amount of ammo you get, being 90, instead of it’s American counterpart (being the M2 carbine) which has 120. BUT when compared, the Gewehr 43 8mm Kurtz deals slightly more damage.
I really wish the STG 44 was the SF for Germany instead of the FG 42. It would’ve been more accurate, and and it would’ve been the perfect counterpart to the US (instead of implementing the T20 and Hyde).
