I do want a normal mg at br 2 for RKKA. Madsen was ~ 10-20 units in Red Army. Breda ~ 100-200. Zb-30 - 20000-30000. Of course in all ways - its the best solution.
I get the Madsen is not popular.
Why not something like this a DP27 with a 25 round box magazine?

I get that the USSR used some.
By that logic Germany used thousands of PPSH41’s it should be in their tech tree as well.
I dont agree that the USSR should have the ZB 26 for balance reasons.
In fact enlisted veterans had a PPsh - can be thousands of them - as a Stalingrad veterans, it was in a tech tree about 2 years. And yes in german TT - is still PPsh at br II.
I cant see this way - reasons why Zb-30 cannt be added one way or another to USSR

Veterans have it yes but it is not in the tech tree.
The only edge Germany has in br2 is its LMG’s.
Why does the USSR need it?
You already have the best br2 equipment in most categories.

I am excited about the amount of unique weapons from the World War II era. The Madsen MG is absolutely not worth owning as a weapon and historically insignificant. So, I want something that I feel comfortable using - not op, just OK. My RPK is also bad - only 15 rounds per magazine. The Breda is disappointing too - it’s a rare Italian MG, and I don’t know of any evidence of it being used as a Soviet gun.So the ZB-30, which was a fairly common LMG in the Soviet army, doesn’t seem to have any point not to it being added.
