The progression unlocks need to be rearranged and made logically.
If they make something a higher level than it already is, let everyone keep the unlock.
If it’s a lower level then it shouldn’t affect anyone.
For example in Normandy the Bazooka and Panzerfaust are absolutely unlocked too late in the campaign, while in Pacific Bazooka is unlocked way earlier for some reason.
Sorry to be the one who tells you but there’s going to be 2 new Campaings this year while progression is still in the works and heavely debated. I for one don’t mind it but I know you will. Hopefully the debated changes most of you are looking for will come before or alongside with such releases. We do not want or need a new Stalingrad lab rat launch experiment.
i think the weapon unlock tree should be separate from all campaigns, so regardless of what campaign you play, you’d be grinding xp for any weapon, though the weapons that dont belong in certain campaigns or timelines wont be buyable in such campaigns, but it should be unlockable though
I think it’s a good idea, it’s frustrating to unlock the same MP40 five times over, and some battles play like you’ve just changed maps, for example, the difference between a Soviet top assault squad in Moscow and a Soviet top assault squad in Berlin might simply be that the engineers in the latter squad use AVT40s instead of AVS36s
im working on a chart that displays this progression tree, ill add some weapons that i personally think should also be added albeit pointless because its similar weapons to another, but it would be cool to have
then it’s bad for us, since progression rebalance is a point of November Boycott from Quadro and several other streamers (+Reddit).
Community is already tired of that repetative levelling in all campaigns. Either devs will change it, or 2023 will be the last year when the game shows any hints of growth.
Just to note: the battlepass poster each season generally hints towards what they are focusing heavily on that season. Last season’s poster featured palm trees, and they heavlily focused on Pacific Campaign for example. This season’s poster depicts two czech hedgehogs and some barbwire, leading me to believe they will be focusing more heavily on engineering fortifications perhaps. I don’t think they will be worrying about new theaters for a while, but instead focusing on balancing elements of the game that are currently here.
