Rework Tank Combat (for infantry and Tank V Tank)

For the love of fuck, rework the entirety of your tank combat. You have WT at your disposal. How do you think a Panzer 2 C with standard ammo, let alone the fact that it would most likely have pzgr.40 would be almost to pen a T60 at almost all angles. I should not be firing into a flat part of it and not penning on semi-even ground. War Thunder, which you have ported all the models and almost the entirety of the functionality of the tank combat, got this right. We are within 50 meters of each other, there should only be bouncing of shells if you hit an extremely angeled armor. Second, your methods of AT for infantry is absolutely apalling. The only way to deal with tanks early on is to suicide charge with demo packs. That’s actually pretty effective, if you get lucky. That shouldn’t be the way. Once you finally do unlock a form of at, a stack AT gun, there’s no “shell shock” from the tank starting on fire, and the shell itself penning a tank. Again, a Pak 38 shell within 100 meters should easily pen through it’s armor and the engine itself. Again, war thunder got this right. As of right now, tank combat is so awful on the Battle of Moscow side that I almost want to D/c everytime the enemy team brings in the biased t60 tank out due to the lack of ability to kill it minus suicide charging with Demolition charges.

All of this balistic information is already done for you in Warthunder so if you’re going to be porting over the models, the in game sounds (sounds pretty similar), the 3d visualize of damage on you and your enemy, at least properly model over pen for tanks as well. As of right now, the T60 is just a clear indication that you didn’t do it equally for all of them. I mean, I even saw a Panzer 3 C shoot six times into the driver seat and it did nothing. I didn’t know Germans were using early war Russian tank shells…

Also, the answer shouldn’t be “Just grind!” to solve the infantry problem. Yes I know they get AT guns rather early on, but they’re absolute garbage at actually killing things, and you still have to grind through early levels to even get to that point. It’s a needless hamstring on your game.

Stukas are tank busters, I killed 4 Soviet tanks in one match with it.

Still need a stuka to do it, while t-60 is stock from level 1.

I agree on the Normandy side, the Sd.Kfz. 234 I feel is way to well protected. The stuart should be able to pen it pretty easily yet it’s able to resist most front on shots. On the other side Sd.Kfz. 234 with it’s much larger gun does a much better job at defeating infantry, and in most cases can one shot the stuart. I’d be okay with this if the Sd.Kfz. 234 strengths were just that it’s got a BIG gun. but it’s got a BIG GUN and good armor.

Another question to tank subject, as it seems easiest way to “kill” tanks is to hit spots where the crew is, is there any point to use the pz with 37mm cannon ? So far most of my tank on tank engagements have ended in favor of soviet stalinium made tanks that apparently can kill all of my crew in 1 salvo with 20mm auto-cannon while im trying to pinpoint the T60 crew with 37 APHE ammo with little luck.

Also, about the HE rounds of that same exact 37mm cannon, do I need to unlock / upgrade something vital to make it actually useful ? For some reason the HE seems to be completely incapable of killing anyone unless its a direct hit, or in proximity of 1-2cm of the target.
