Not really. SMGs will still be better, Soviets are still better in any regard until late war phase and playing Allies in Tunisia maps will still be awful.
This is actually funny in not at all funny way.
Since equipments are supposed to be balanced by some sort of BR system.
And soviets got 3 top-notch smg’s available from very early games to late games.
I wonder what they have thought for this.
PPd38/40? vs mp38 / 40 ?
PPd40 vs mp35 / M38 ?
PPSh vs kiraly / captured ppsh ?
Ofc, theres now the possibility to get equipment from other campaigns.
But what comes to smg’s I cant actually think of any that would match soviets early game smg’s.
And especially what BR will they give the MP38?
Or what theyr gonna do to it. Since its currently the better one from those 2 mp38/40.
Id expect M38 beretta with 20mag to be quite high due to not having capability of wasting bullets like drum weapons have.
Jokes aside, regardless ive got “high” expectations for the upcoming matchmake and finally fixing the issues we currently have.
Im 99% certain it will be absolute shitshow for weeks very least once it released with all the flaws it has.

Nah, i agree with OP and would say you are in the minority. A lot of us older guys came to the game because it promised immersive, authentic ww2
