Surely it makes sense to to incentivise spotting/marking?
There already is, somewhat.
If you mark a vehicle, or gun emplacement that then gets destroyed by an allied player, you get assist xp bonus.
(Also greatly help your team)
needs an increase for tanks tho, 15 points for a mark but over 300 for a kill
I really only mark for myself. Otherwise, it’s incentive for my teammates to steal my kills and I get like 15-40 points instead of 150-300.
What if you’re too far away to defeat the tank yourself, or without means to take the enemy vehicle out by yourself?
If there’s a friendly tank nearby, it could save his metal ass, and your team some tickets, no?
The only time I give out warnings is if he is greyzoning and I am currently playing infantry. Since I have no hope of destroying the tank and am reliant on friendly forces.
yes, but many people do not do this because the reward is so low they dont see it as worth the effort. perhaps if the points were increased, then more players would use markers
But… it’s literally the amount of effort required to move your mouse cursor over the vehicle, and press one key…
If ppl think it’s a lot of efforts… then I don’t know what to say other than the pros of doing it:
- assist xp bonus
- make an enemy vehicle blocking your advance disappear thanks to a friendly nearby
- save allied vehicles from an early demise, thus saving tickets for your team
- making victory easier to achieve, rewarding a huge +50% at the end
- not being a selfish dick
…
Ppl are complaining about others not building rallies. Not marking is even lazier…
Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the greater good
certainly
I also hate those hyenas that steal their prey
At least the first player to mark a high-value target should get more points
I do think enemies killed “near” your marks should give you a pittance at least
