In my opinion this an awesome idea to give medics more of a use, I try to add medics to my squads when I can
I was thinking about our PM conversation and how about this:
Medic squad can get a medic tent unique building for engineer. It will spawn an AI squad of 4-5 soldiers if player manages to revive X times.
This way it wonât be underwheling since itâs just a âbonusâ to the job you are already doing.
Iâm too scared of possible human wave tactics (my experience from a mobile game with similar system) to make it a main mechanic.
What engineer? :PP
The one this squad would have if someone at DF wouldnât have a stroke and wouldnât decide to make a squad with only one soldier class.

It doesnt have to spawn a squad i suppose. It could just recover 12 tickets?
I like the idea of having extra bots running around for ambiance
who would say no to some meth enhanced soldiers?
This would be good for Lone Fighter game modes if that ever comes back, as of right now taking 1 player out of the 10 to go on medic duty will hinder the team performance somewhat; it doesnât mean that isnât a good suggestion though. Iâm all for adding more mechanics for medics.
For Squad mode we should take the Company of Heroes triage stations as an example. Have an engineer class slot for the medic classes, add a triage medical station construction building that spawns 2 unarmed bots dressed in their faction specific medical attire, and have those 2 bots sprint around reviving downed players/unconscious soldiers or retrieve those unconscious soldiers within a 100 meter radius and take them to the triage station. Once the triage station takes in 6-12 downed infantry it adds 12 tickets back into the attackers ticket pool/spawns an extra bot squad to fight with you in the battle/ or allow a team member spawn his own squad free of cost at that triage station.
Or better yet, players can replenish their own squad members with a triage station if it has enough infantry.
That way there would be two bots taking care of the boring process of reviving and healing players while the human players can take care of fighting the battle.
iâll start saying that, i donât like revives out of thin air.

however, it could prove to be useful and enrich some mods.
so iâm all for it.
we were promised ways to replenish our soldiers, but we havenât got jack . so taking medics will be good as any while still making them relevant for joes i guess
For some reason, when I read the title of the topic, I thought that you were suggested a new mechanic class. Whose specialists could be more purposefully engaged in repairing equipment/vehicles and the like.(repair broken anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns scattered on maps, tanks, vehicles, etc.)
But okay. As for your real topic, I like the idea. But, yes, it doesnât fit into the current speed of the game. Although, however, if AI medics themselves will do this with their closest allies, then why not? Or all bots will do which are in a certain area next to the medbox.
Also I am interesting how many bugs itâs could introduce xD
