First things first, I want to make it perfectly clear that I am completely against putting female combatants in campaign-unlockable squads aside from a single very specific instance.
I’m sure everyone here has already been through quite a few of the “Gaiji-flow, addu lady to X theater”. I know I have, and there have been good and bad points raised on it. But I’d like to get an idea of what the community thinks about a more conservative approach to the matter:
Basically, female soldiers would be restricted to event squads. Not purchasable premium ones, but event, to ensure they wouldn’t flood the battlefield in case of a surge in money whales looking for waifus.
The main theater which would receive these would of course be the eastern one. Most specifically Moscow with the night witches, and whatever amount of female snipers there were (I will be honest I never bothered to read into them).
But, as a twist, I also believe the Germans in Berlin should have at least one female combatant in a… More historical event Volkssturm squad.
But now to bring up that one specific exception which I mentioned earlier, and one that is least likely to be ever implemented.
In the case Darkflow ever decides to put a partisan campaign into the game (Italian, French, Polish) there could be a possibility to put them there. I don’t know enough about how the French resistance or Italian partisans were organized, but I do know the Polish resistance wouldn’t turn down a hand just because it was dainty and feminine.
I’m really curious what you guys think about this kind of approach.
nah, we could get something like a “gold order sniper” for the soviets, so that you could only get one single female soldier per campaign, maybe even a female tanker. But that should be it.
I dont think female volkssturm was a thing at all. Sure regular civilians were “shown” how to use a firearm in the last weeks of the war, but them ladies actually fighting basically not happening.
by that logic we might as well consider adding children to fight in berlin.

I think a premium female sniper squad for Moscow and Berlin would be fine, as well as an event female fighter squad for Moscow.
As for Berlin I think there should be only a gold order female soldier. As females weren’t pushed to Frontline use instead they were forced to take up arms in last minute desperation
I think the only way female combatants should be added is through squads where they were actually present in, or could have realistically had a presence. The only way this could probably be done is by premium squads since you cannot change out the members of a premium squad. The only nation where I would probably see female infantry is the soviets, but also only to select roles. The Germans would probably only get a few pilots through gold orders, but that’s about it because they viewed women serving as barbaric, especially when dealing on the Eastern Front. The thing about the Volkssturm is that they added females as an auxiliary, and that was already when both the Western Front and Eastern Front collapsed on them and they were already in German lands. I think the addition of female soldiers could be reasonably done with respect to those who fought, it would just have to be specific.

i have mixed feelings about this topic to be honest.
in the past, i used to be against it…
but now, i think that those should be under premium squads. or gold order like someone suggested above. so you would avoid to see entire squads made out of females. it wouldn’t be historical accurate at all. ending up like cod ww2 having female soldiers in the front line even with the american faction…
so yeah, limited would be better.
and if you think about it, just like normal soldiers, more cosmetics could be introduced as well, ( no, not colored nails, new tatoos, make up or other weird things like that ) but types of uniforms ( winter clothings, coats waterproof, summer uniform and yada yada yada ) even helmets/hats.
so generally, increase incomes for the game as well.

Yeah pretty much that, but I would be more for gold order reward rather than premium squads because given size of each battle more than 1 engaging premium squad would probably be too much.
Not to mention the insane amount of work around coding these in the first place.
It could end up like world of tonks or world of battleboats…

As long as that previous scenario NEVER happens here and NORMAL females are implemented as gold order/premium troops I’m fine with it. But keep anime out, for the love of God…

As long as we are not forced to witness such atrocities and that those remains for the user’s eyes only, be my guest… Better for my immersion feeling to see chad brick shaped faced guys getting dismembered by bombs than little anime girls screaming “senpai” to every guys they see… 🤦
