Revert Gun Smoke in Forest Shadows Test Server

i agree. i really love it. also it feels cinematic as hell. It feels so epic to continously fire machineguns now

just tested it. I dont know if its a low GFX vs Max GFX thing but at 4k max, its not bad at all.

If you are strafing while shooting it barely effects your vision at all. Its like another form of managament…move your mouse for recoil, move to keep vision clear (I mean who stands still while shooting short of a bipod anyway?)

Only thing I would change is the lingering smoldering. should clear almost immediately

It accumulates very badly.
I think they wanted to simulate a smoking barrel …

I don’t really care.

Enlisted is first and foremost a game. And thus gameplay should come above all else.

And obviously, this nonsense directly undermines gameplay in extremely disruptive way. And thus should be fixed.

Btw, this isn’t the first time they’ve messed up the smoke effect. But it’s at least the third time. So realistically there’s no reason why they shouldn’t fix it this time as well.

that the part that looks wrong…and it looks like its a stacking effect…

A machinegun? Or do you think strafing with an MG will make all your problems go away and ensure you can hit things? (even with the insane amounts of movement dispersion).
But guess the RD 44 wasnt yet good enough for the soviet playerbase so that every other mg had to be nerfed somehow…

see the clip above. First mag is fine.

vision is fucked on second mag because of the smoldering barrel that stacks and lingers for 3 or more seconds.

They did, and it is way overdone, it should be just a silght heat haze at worst and not smoke.

I don’t understand how you didn’t notice that they removed the main thing, there is no heat effect coming from the barrel on the test server, now when firing a weapon, a blur effect is created emitting hot air from the shot, so for some reason it was removed, although I have not seen any complaints about it.

On a 20 round mg…
So if you want to use a BR 5 mg you are only allowed to use about half of your mag before beeing forced to idle for 5 ish seconds.
