Revert AA guns back to their former glory,AKA usefulness

Well against bots, you could farm them with the Nagant revolver and still be effective… doesn’t compare with human guys who actively snipe poor Ta Se gunner’s head off…

Ta Se is, in my personal opinion, the vehicle I find to be the weakest of the game. If you don’t count event and premium vehicles.

There is definitely still an issue on console. Its more prevalent in certain campaigns and certain factions, I’ll try to get a list together.

That said, in the case of the bombers, we should get the lead indicator much further out than what we currently do. I bring this up as a balancing standpoint.

  • It only takes one player with a radio operator and only a moment of targeting to call in the airstrike (which personally I think its something that should require more than 1 player to do with how strong it is)

  • So why does it take multiple players trying to counter over at least 30 seconds to have a chance to stop the entire airstrike group? A single AA (especially on the soviet campaigns) is incapable of taking out more than 1, maybe 2 of them if you are lucky. Couple that with the fact that AA guns have to be built, operated, and take time manually targeting to bring down the aircraft that were simply “called in”.

Soviet 72K does have a loader now.

UK Polsten and German Flak38 does lack a loader. I wish they have one.
I don’t play Japan so I don’t know if their AA gun has one.

From personal experience, AAA is competent at destroying player-controlled planes, but deal absolutely abhorrent damage to AI bombers. There was a time where AAA could kill both with relative ease.

I’d honestly be fine with just the removal of the minimum elevation limitation, but giving it the same punch it had against bombers would be a nice bonus.

If you want to mow down infantry with a stationary gun, use an MG nest. That’s what they are for. The only people who want to go back to the bad old days of AA gun farming are the people that used to abuse it.

I’ll be 100% honest, I think the devs should hire @tommyZZM at this point. He seems to have a good understanding of what players are looking for.

Players have always known what they want, it’s just that some long-standing one-sided views have obscured what other players really want.

We want Bigger battles, richer content, more vehicles, and more WW2 elements.

Rather than more run-and-gun and COD action shooting

(Enlisted has never should been a game with action FPS shooting as its selling point, but should be a WW2 game that inherits the rich game content of War Thunder and CRSED large maps with its potential the squad mode with more strategic elements)

I would love to see the 4 barrel Bofers cannon for the US and the 4 barrel AA for Germans on Normandy. Or just remove the overheating barrel on magazine fed weapons. It’s annoying to use the AA guns against a. Good pilot. I am on console and I think maybe it’s easier to play AA with a mouse and keyboard or whichever you PC guy use. On console it’s not fast enough for me to turn and shoot planes as they zoom by at a low angle and I can’t even turn nor aim low enough to hit them. It would be great if the overheating was removed, and the depressing elevation was lowered so I could shoot at planes doing low flybys.

yeah, the overheating is definitely a shit feature that should not be in magazine fed AA gun. what’s the point of having 20 rounds in a mag if you can only fire like, 10 of them consecutively? might as well make it 10 round mag at that point just to rub it in.
