airplanes, unlike tanks, will live for a longer time (at least if there is no AA’s lol), this can cause some player to spend his whole match in an airplane shooting at ground, yet hitting nohting and there is no way of repairing the airplane either…
so here is my suggestion:
change the airplane rearm zone into “return to airfield”
after the player enters the zone, his plane unspawns (not added to death count, respawn doesnt take away spawn points), player can then spawn infantry squads, airplane becomes available again after the 1 infantry squad died (current mechanic, just halved)

I think there would then be no reason to fly fighters.

their role is air superiority, they can shoot things down effectively, unless we are on tunisia

There already is no reason to fly fighters. They are solely used for when a team goes plane heavy. Which is practically never. Air war in general needs a revamp. There is no incentive to fly. XP is crap.

I was so disappointed when I actually managed to land my plane in a field, hopped out with my tool kit and didn’t have an option to repair.

I made a similar suggestion a long time ago, not sure if devs has seen it
Now that they have added parachutes, the fighter squad may also have a weak positive effect on the battle by becoming infantry.
plane players especially fighter player always killing self when he wants to become infantry to capture the victory point
i believe its unreasonable for the sense of substitution on the battle.
fighter players shouldn’t killing themselves, Please add a way for players to retreat from the battle safely instead of killing themselves
Here is the latest summary of these ideas.
Here is the latest and summary suggestion about spawn point, Many similar suggestions have been posted before, this post summary the most reasonable ideas I think.
This system doesn’t need to redo much for the game system and program.
Those squads with powerful weapon and vehicles will consume more spawn points. Completing combat objectives and capture control points in combat can earn spawn points. Spawn points can be reset every match. Every player can fairly use powerful weapons several times in every match. Encourage players to actively fight, reward players who fight actively in the combat let them can play more times with these weapons.
The deployment of low-level bolt-action rifle teams does not require a spawn point.
Add a Re-Deployment Point for Aircraft. Allowing players to redeploy as infantry, and redeployment can return more spawn points. This mechanism allows the fighter (specaily those fighter without bombs) to become playable in the game, and the player does not need to commit suicide to redeploy.
Since aircraft spawning needs to consume spawn points. If the player’s aircraft commits suicide, double spawn points will be deducted as punishment. The minimum spawn point is 0. A small amount of spawn points can be refunded if the aircraft makes a soft landing
The deployment of powerful armored vehicles and vehicles requires more spawn points. Assuming that some kind of mechanized infantry semi-track or armored truck is added in the future, this mechanism can be used to balance
By using spawn point as a resource measurement tool, dev can balance more other game mechanics. Such as shelling, adding different ammunition to vehicles and weapons, etc. For example, calling a 76mm artillery shell consumes a small amount of spawn points, and calling a Katyusha rocket for fire coverage will consume more spawn points, etc. As those Rituals and skills in CRSED. Devs can add more fun things based on this tool.
I came to the forum for this reason, could be possible land the aircraft and fix the airplane. Ok, not too realistic, but since tanks can be fixed this rule could be added to the aircrafts.

Thank you! In Pacific Campaign now we can fix the airplanes in aircraft carriers or in specific points.
