Returning player

So, as a returning player (left with few tier IV and mostly tier III vehicles and weapons Axis Normandy),
I can understand the crew perk overhaul.

The merged and messy campaigns, but can someone tell me, why do I have to research every single squad/weapon/vehicle in the TT just to buy a single weapon I was about to unlock before leaving the game,
That is without counting the amount of time I need to research the tier that existed before the ones I was at.

The new squad unlock mechanics that now has to make me unlock a squad to unlock a soldier type i have a squad of already, just to buy a single soldier
Ex: I have the Radio Operator squad, but somehow i need to unlock a totally different squad to gain access to Radio operator soldiers,
Same with pilots and a lot of other squads, i have Gewehr 43, but to unlock anything after it, i need to research and unlock Gewehr 41 and anything that precedes it that isn’t researched

Ya, it’s a bit of a mess, change is not always for the better…

My big hope is that once they go live on steam the influx of players will allow for a better gaming experience.

Previous content has been slightly deleted and consolidated
Judging from the results, the development tree has indeed become shorter.
But you still have to develop and purchase all the previous base versions

Not sure if current rookies can graduate a country in 350 games without spending any money

Or more games?

TBH, one of the few ways to solve this,
is that each unit in the TT gets a campaign designation, and to unlock let’s say Fg42 from the Normandy campaign, you need to unlock the Gewehr 43 from normandy

so now, instead of having to research/purchase all of the units in line + getting enough vehicles in each tier to unlock the next tier

it would be, instead, all units of same campaign in line + enough tier vehicles

So, either this gets done or the amount of units in each TT gets reduced either by foldering/removal
Or there should be a maximum amount of xp needed per TT/line to fully unlock
that would make each unit cost less the more units get added
