From the new major update:
- Improved controls for starting a charge with a melee weapon. Actions have been split into short (hit) and long (charge) actions.
When you press a button to attack with melee weapons, the attack occurs after the button is let go of. This is a little annoying, and can be the difference between life and death in some scenarios; as usually when you attack with melee, you press your finger firmly into the button with satisfaction.
With the previous controls, I would have to agree that initiating a charge was somewhat inconsistent, but I would rather have the normal melee attack work consistently.
