With so many squads I found myself always using the same old ones for simplicity. Recently I started really thinking about all the different squads I had and got creative ideas. I would customize these squads with different loadouts so each one has a purpose. It was better than endlessly customizing the same squad whenever I felt like changing their loadouts. I would be immersive too
I have squads for different time periods (1941, 42, 43, 44, 45), specific units with specific loadouts, some of them are even basically their own premium/ event squad when they only use a specific weapon like gold orders
I have whatever squads I was able to unlock before the Merge era began. I’d like more just so I have so many more templates for my squad customizations
I think all previous legacy squads from campaigns should return. They could be added as a “gift” to all players, hey here’s a dozen free squads, or they could be added as a reward in the upcoming “veteran box”

I think a better solution would be make squads by default be “Rifleman I squad #1” or something, and have a selectable nationality (Germany or Italy, US or UK or various commonwealth country) that gives it the name and icon of a real equivalent. Then be able to buy “Rifleman I squad #2”, “Rifleman I squad #3”, etc. for a bit of silver and be able to give them different nationalities (when given the same nationality make it be a different squad), use them for different BRs, etc. it would be a much cleaner system.

I could see DF doing it maybe at some point, but as individual premium squads so they can make their coin from it.

I just want atleast one unique squad for each soldier class for the British and Italians at the very least. It would work perfectly when we get the update to change the soldier’s nationality through customization.

I disagree with this because I just know we’re going to have an explicit American squad and they’ll have British accents
But they definitely should add all squad types and classes for Britain and Italy so we have them as an option

i would gladly buy 1 squad per month to collect them all back again because i was naive enough to sell all legacy squads so making them purchasable works for me

Yeah, I am not sure I would buy them all back, but I would buy at least a few of them back. To be honest, I cannot really remember how good my legacy squads were, but I love assaulter squads, so I would for sure buy them back, and with the fully auto rifles in level 5 I guess I would consider buying some rifle squads as well. All my lower level squads for the most part are either medic or assaulter, and my level 5 are rifle.
I love my Browning 1918A2 at level three, and use three MG squads of them at that level, and just bought the Colt MG level 3 as well so now I can field four squads. But, until DF stops punking my level 3 allies to level 5 vs the Japanese, I probably won’t play with them as much. I did use them in some level 5 Allies last night though.
