In the soldier research tree for picking a soldier class to enhance your squad it is currently permanent, this should be changed to allow a reset for a set gold price encase someone messed up or doesn’t like the choice. i feel this is a fair option and will not allow for abuse as it would be costly to abuse it.
Not for gold. Just give reroll points just like with soldiers and their perks.

It does not cost gold to use the Retraining points you have acquired.
No you can just buy them if you dont want to grind them

You don’t need to buy those but the big button to do so is there anyways
You have to click on the perk you want to replace and not the thing above the perks.
Exactly. Fully researched squads keep earning levels. Right now they are even visible because of not implemented veteran status. Should count for reset.
There is an issue of course with already used equipment or soldiers, but it does not seem a big deal. Just remove whatever does not suit updated class.

If you change from large backpack to small backpack the stuff you put on is removed to your inventory. So at least some system is already in place
