please change the need to have all previous research to get some higher tier research. the only thing that stops me to get the thompson is a owen mk1 that i will likely never use

yea this is a common problem everyone have and i also have this problem with german tank i hope they change it in the next update

Yes, having to unlock the 10 different panzer 3s and 4s I didn’t get to just get the KT is very annoying

I also don’t understand why it actually allows you to research something if its not going to let you unlock it. I’m sure it’ll get fixed pretty soon!

I don’t think they can change it. The linear unlock progression is what underpins the tech tree.
That’s how one has to progress now, given the dissolution of the Campaign model.
There will be a period of grind where you have to wade through the early game content of the other Campaigns you didn’t play in order to free up the research and acquisition of the weapons you do want to use.
Its a legacy issue that will resolve itself eventually with the older players and won’t matter much to anyone new.
Well i am not going back to beginning of German tree, because i didn’t do all 5x campaigns,
i had 2x,
no way i even bother playing Germany again, because i have to unlock 3x of stuff that was in the other campaigns,
its pure evil, monetization.
that they make you have to everything, researched, before i can ever get anything.
when i was already high tier in my campaigns

If you look at the WT model, that’s what a nation based tree implies.
You start at the low BR and work your way up.
It will be very disruptive for some players I agree.
The other important note that someone else posted in another thread is that the Premium Squads which ppl have previously purchased need to give significant research bonuses in the same way they do in WT. The benefits of these units and premium accounts is very watered down atm.
IF they address that part of the economy then folks will find it easier to unlock equipment and Gaijin will have a reasonable degree of monetisation - win / win.
Anyone down for being able to accelerate research with silver like we can with gold?

I don’t think it will change that much, since in order to make it comparable with Gold, they would just substitute the Gold amount with the Silver equivalent, which most ppl will have to spend gold on… Seems very pointless to me.

Plan B.
Reduce price of premium squads from highway robbery to an acceptable amount.
Thus decreasing the need for research in general
That will work, as well as significantly increasing the amount of research and silver you get when playing with a premium squad.
