Request to change the uniform and helmets of the fg 42 squad

Can you guys change both the uniforms and helmets of the fg 42 squads to be more historically accurate ? Because the helmets are the standard one and not edgeless one from the back because I would like to see them like this one in the art image image

It would require also changing the name of that division and squad for Fallschirmjagers. Division and squads that we have ingame are all historical units, that fought in those particular battles. So Wehrmacht unit with paratrooper uniform and weapon should not exist.
But overall - I agree with my whole heart.

Thank you for your agreement with me… finally a gentleman who doesn’t oppose my suggestion

actually there were Fallschirmjagers operating as elite infantry in Normandy, they earned a reputation with the Americans when they served as the backbone of the fierce German resistance in the bocage;

Von der Heydte was ordered by Field Marshal Erwin Rommel to defend Carantan to the last man, since it was the critical junction between Utah Beach and Omaha Beach. Starting around the night of June 10, US troops entered the outskirts of Carentan, and by morning of June 11 fierce fighting went from house to house.
.
To illustrate the intensity: a U.S. battalion (3rd of 502nd PIR) had 700 men entering Carentan and after two days’ fighting only 132 men were left. By dusk on June 11, von der Heydte withdrew what remained of his men out of Carentan to avoid encirclement. The commander of the 17th SS Panzergrenadier Division was furious and wanted to arrest von der Heydte, only intervention from von der Heydte’s higher ranking brethren saved the situation.
.
A counter-attack on June 12 failed to retake the town. For their battle at Carentan, the German paratroopers earned the nickname “Lions of Carentan” from the U.S. paratroopers. Von der Heydte’s regiment was subsequently involved in the intense hedgerow fighting, also known as the battle of the Bocage, defending every inch of ground that was characteristic of the Normandy campaign.

That said, the FG42s should have definitely been unlocked with a paratrooper regiment, I also think its a bad idea to make it a rifle class weapon considering it was meant to partially fill the role of an LMG with units mainly equipped with more typical MP40s and G43s.

It wasn’t an LMG though, it was a battle rifle. Just because it has a bipod, doesn’t mean it fulfils the role of an LMG.

Correct, though i did allude to that. At the time there wasnt really much else that was comparable, as its design specification was as a weapon system that could perform the role of an LMG and rifle in one package.

Your image shows an early war Fallschirmjäger.

Early war Fs.Jg.

Late war Fs.Jg.

The normandy campaign is dated 1944, so the late war Fallschirmjäger would be appropriate.
