After the merger, the barracks was severely overloaded (350/150 something like that) and I had to send them back one by one.

There is a button at the bottom of your list of troops it says “Select”, when you hit that you will see little checkboxes appear next to all of the soldiers. At that point you can select a bunch or all of them if you want at one time and then click the “Dismiss” button next to it.
