I noticed that pretty often I see quick chat requests like “need ammo box”. It’s generally useless because unless they’re on the point, you don’t know who needs help where.
This could be improved upon by actually marking the request on the map.
For example, if I say “need ammo” in quick chat, anyone with an engineer in their squad would see a blue icon for an ammo box where a player requested it.
This icon would fade after about a minute.
As well, you should be able to make map markers to request a rally point or AT gun in a specific location, not necessarily where you’re standing.
And if we want to be really fancy, a marker for “attack this flank” accompanied by a quick chat message.
