Some of you may think to change the PIAT instead but try to think of any trashier allied anti-tank weapon that can par the Sturmpistole, anti-tank rifles like the Boys anti-tank gun is obsolete in Normandy except for Pumas.
The PIAT even though has the same penetration power in-game - but I could be wrong, the Sturmpistole has 80mm of pen whilst the PIAT has 100mm of pen, adding another advantage over the Sturmpistole - it also has more velocity, which means more range, and it does more damage than the Sturmpistole. I believe it to have more damage for the reason that I get killed from the side from 1-2 shots and the front from 1-3 shots, with each shot critically damaging my tank, whilst it takes more than the Sturmpistole and sometimes not enough and I have to use dynamites. Don’t try to say I suck at placing my shots, I know where I’m shooting and I have to avoid the damn tank gun and infantry.
I have a bit of a hard time killing tanks with the Sturmpistole that makes me not want to have bombers on any of my squad that offers it to be added and rather use explosive packs instead because of how bad it is, especially against M4A2 with the ammo rack having an added armor on the side of the tank, let alone jumbos where you gotta aim the place between the boogies because you can’t pen it anywhere other than there and good luck trying to hit the ammo rack stored there with the tank moving around every time. you don’t even know at what range your gun is aiming because it would just shoot upward when you’re facing the spot you want the hit the tank is, so you gotta aim lower of the spot you want to hit, unlike the PIAT. M4A2s and Jumbos have appeared at a greater number now and the Sturmpistole can’t keep up with them, whilst the PIAT can keep up alright because it can kill every German tanks in Normandy with ease.
I see the Faustpatrone 30 or the Panzerfaust 30 to be a good par with the PIAT. The Faustpatrone and Panzerfaust 30 have more penetration than the PIAT but the PIAT offers more velocity ( 76m/s ) and range than the Faustpatrone 30 or the Panzerfaust 30 ( 45m/s ) and the weapons for both sides perhaps have the same post damage effect on the tank. Do you folks agree? I could ask for the Panzerfaust 60 or 100, but the range feels too much to be par-with the PIAT
like, come on.
The Americans have this
Whilst the Germans has this
This looks really like something that can par the PIAT
It’s Normandy, 1944. Do you really want to have a flare gun that can shoot small heat propellant as your anti-tank? And let the Yankees with a weapon based on a spigot mortar system to be their anti-tank?
