So this topic is going to feature the magical Sten gun from the Normandy campaign. I think everyone can agree, that the Germans have a big advantage in the small arms section. I don’t wanna waste too much time talking about it, but the only reliable anwser the Allies have for the STG, FG, MG is the BAR. The probelm is that if you’r a F2P player, then you can get maximum 5 BAR’s in your 3 infantry squads, while german’s can get 20+ from those guns mentioned above.
So, if we have to fight the Germans with worse guns, than can we atlest have some diversity in the gun section, please? Like the assault class for an example, I don’t wanna use the same thompson’s all the time here and also in Tunis, I want some unique guns also British guns as a whole are pretty mediocare in Normandy. The Lee Enfield is good, Bren gun is just horrible becasue of the rear sight and finally the sten, which is also not too great. My idea is that the Sten Mk2 could stay in Tunis and in Normandy they should replace it with it’s successor the Sten Mk5.
It would perfectly fit into the game, becasue the Mk5 was used by British Paratroopers on D-day. About the gun, they actually made some pretty nice changes to improve it, I think with this firearm we should be able to hit targets past 10 meters, cause currently that’s the maximum range on the Sten Mk2.
