Replace pre-war Kar-98 sniper with Kriegsmodell Kar-98 sniper in Berlin

Pre-war Kar-98 sniper is already present in 3 out of 4 campaigns and offers only slightly higher rate of fire than the regular K98 sniper. Here is a picture of the squad that unlocks this gun:

The problem with this gun is that players won’t feel any satisfaction after unlocking it 3 times in a row, it’s mostly just a different looking K98. It also has no meaning to appear in Berlin because at the very last stages of war, Pre-war K98’s were rare and most soldiers were armed with Kriegsmodell K98 versions.

We already have Kriegsmodell Sniper in Enlisted, this gun was present in Alpha testing 1 year ago but devs forgot about it and it was never reintroduced into the campaign.

We could think they will introduce Kriegsmodell sniper on higher levels but this gun is just too weak to be unlocked on higher levels. I’m suggesting that this gun should be unlocked at Level 2 while the regular K98 sniper should be unlocked at level 13 (where the pre-war model currently sits). Pre-war should be completely removed from Berlin.

Well,sniper bot squads still have Kriegsmodell with Scope’s.Only player’s aint.

I fully agree to this. Replacing it by Kriegsmodell (that as you said, is already modelled in the game) makes far more sense than including pre war rifle in Berlin 1945.

Yeah, add a weapon for sniper II worse than the kar98k from sniper I and far worse than the pre war kar98k actual sniper II (really bad rate of fire and reload time) just because it has been already on other campaign, such a brilliant idea since it only a yellow version of Kar98 lol.

If the weapon wasn’t a nerfed version of Kar98k it would be good for sniper I but actually no. The kriegmodel version are only made by lower quality materials, in no case it is meant to change the rate of fire and the reload time, they just added useless longer animation.

Level 2, thought sniper 2 lol, well why not. But again, kriegmodel are not supposed to be slower even if they are made by lower quality materials.

Yeah, but since they are implemented this weird way, it would also make sense to include on lower level, since soviet rifles are slow af as well.

That is true, but Kriegsmodell still uses placeholder animations and stats, it will be improved in the future

every bolt gun in Berlin is slow af except K98 and maybe M44.

we can have both afterall. there are plenty of levels to fill with content.

Because I’m sure that a k98 sniper would more of an equivalent to the sniper SVT-38 than the pre-war 98 already is…

If you want to reintroduce this gun, move the SVT sniper back so that it unlocks at the same level as the sniper G43, and find a soviet bolt-action to replace its current spot.
