In the Pacific campaign, there are multiple NAVY weapons: S1-100, MP28, Type 3 Ka-Chi, Type 100 SMG Special (folding stock), Type I rifle. However, all of them are belonging to ARMY’s ground units.
Especially, for the premium squadron, naval units are very interesting for players.
I suggest to replace squads to naval one.
Premium
- 6th Armored Regiment (Ka-Chi’s premium squad)
→ Yokosuka District 16th Special Naval Landing Force- Type 3 Ka-Chi was operated by this unit. It is naval tank.
Yokosuka District 16th SNLF was IJN’s armored unit prepared for Battle of Mainland Japan.
- Type 3 Ka-Chi was operated by this unit. It is naval tank.
- 4th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division (Type 100 paratrooper SMG)
→ Yokosuka District 1st Special Naval Landing Force- Folding stock variant of Type 100 SMG was developed for Naval paratrooper unit.
Yokosuka District 1st SNLF was the oldest and largest naval airborne force. They participated airborne operation to Manado etc.

I don’t know well about Pacific island warfare, so I couldn’t find what NLF used such weapons in there. If you know more suitable unit, please tell me.
- 23rd Infantry Regiment, 6th Infantry Division (S1-100 / Medic)
→ 15th Guar Unit [第十六警備隊], Hainan Garrison Force [海南警備府]- S1-100 was used by Navy.
- Hainan garrison was naval garrison force consisted by unit that captured Hainan island.
- 38th Engineer Regiment, 38th Infantry Division (Type I Rifle / Engineer)
→ 61th Guard Unit [ 第六十一警備隊], 6th Garrison Force [第六根拠地隊]- Due to it had terrible low reliability, Army deny to use it and it was used by second-line unit of the navy. During WW2, it was captured by Battle of Kwajalein.
61th Guard unit is Japanese garrison who stationed in Kwajalein.

- 228th Infantry Regiment, 38th Infantry Division (MP28 / Assaulter II)
→ Shanghai Special Naval Landing Force [上海海軍特別陸戦隊]- It was the first SNLF of the Japanese navy. It was garrison of Shanghai settlement.
- MP28 (actually SIG-Bergmann M1920) was mainly used by Shanghai SNLF and 3rd Fleet’s warships like HIJMS Izumo.
