same could be said for play x side on x campaign… or get x kills with x gun etc.
why would you need to play some campaign or some side that you dont want to. or get kills with some gun you dont have equipped or just dotn want to play. at least capture 1 strategic point promotes good play unlike some other tasks.
You can always opt out of the task and switch it for something else, but I do agree capture one strategic point is one of the more annoying ones, because sometimes you can wind up spending an entire day playing the game and never actually be able to capture a strategic point, and I also agree that it’s annoying to have to play a campaign that you don’t really care for, like this morning I wound up playing Normandie Three matches in a row and the only reason I ever play that game is because the challenge asks me to and because I switched to something else that I didn’t care for
If objective kills were tasks on past events, why not battle pass missions? Sure USSR mostly attack in Berlin but the annoying part is the matchmaker likes armored train so much and also we see less and less conquest because many people hate majority of the conquest maps.
well all tasks are trivial, just more or less annoying. in general i hate tasks that tell you to play some campaign, or to play with some gun (specially when you dont have that squad equipped). also i hate tasks that promote selfish play (pacific 10 kill streak… it is retarded).
The other annoying tasks are the ones that the task asks you to use mortars, flamethrowers, pistols and even melee kills.
I hate the 10 kill streak in Pacific despite I could do this task easily with a sniper squad but this is very different to other campaigns where I could just use a tank.
If you focus solely on short tasks, as everyone should, you’ll always have enough tickets to skip the “capture strategic point” tasks. Yes, that task shouldn’t be a thing (like many others), but the entire daily tasks system together with the battle pass is abominable.
Personally I gave up entirely on trying to engage with it the way developers seemingly expect me to. I either do the short tasks and ignore everything else, or ignore the entire system and feel free to play however I want.
yep, 3 days in a row that was the last one task which cant be skipped (before that some annoying tasks like “18 melee kills” or “pistol kills” were skipped)
Why would you do the longer tasks to begin with? Just ignore them. Even if you’ve bought the battle pass, you only need to do no more than 2 of them a day (out of 9). That way you should still enogh skip tickets. It may feel like you’re wasting time by not doing several tasks at the same time, but it isn’t really.
