Like the captured ppsh 41/43 (Maschinenpistole 717(r) / Maschinenpistole 719(r)), both French weapons should be given the designations given to the captured French weapons.
Gewehr 242(f) for the MAS-36
Maschinenpistole 722(f) for the MAS-38
Although it may seem like a small thing, these are details that make the game more enjoyable.

The German AT rifle event squad should also be given the German designation.
What a great suggestion.
Also do it for the ZB and the ZH.
Do the same with all foreign weapons used by Germany that were given German designation [VZ. 24 for example should be Gewehr 24(t)].
Also, if any faction is added that originally produced these weapons their tech tree versions should have slightly different color of wood or metal (Like how the Soviet [Drum Mag] PPSh-41 has a very light wood, but the German [Drum Mag] MP-717 has a more red wood color). This just adds a nice little illusion of having more diversity of weapons in game.
I disagree, I like the foreign guns keeping their original names. I like making minor nation presets and seeing all the other nations weapons is cool. No need to “Germanify” everything they use.
