This LMG is useless in the position its at. It is the DP27 with a slightly different model and slightly worse recoil, and what’s more, it’s at BR4 compared to BR3, where the DP27 is, and you want to unlock the rd44 or the maxim tokarev? You have to get a $hit gun that is almost as expensive as they are to unlock the fun guns,this gun is obsolete and should be foldered with the DP27 at best, and you need to remove the stupid have to reasearch everything else before it feature, no one thinks it’s a good idea

No, this thing is just trash, it goes into teir 5 battles and is a copy paste of the DP27 with a handle and slightly different stats

Give USSR lend-leased guns and make DPM foldered for the crazies I guess?
But lets be realistic USSR has very few MGs so there is no way DF will just delete it.

Yes, unfortunately, and you have to get this copy paste gun to get the fun stuff, and in darkflows crack altered mind they think that a, you have to be punished for being a veteran and unlocking stuff, so you have to go back and get everything, and b, if it’s in tier 4 is should have an almost similar price
and it would be better for the game… half the guns/vehicles could easily be foldered cause they dont give almost any advantage compared to previous gun/vehicle. e.g. bolties… do you really need a boltie with 3 rof more? or with 1.5 more damage?
maybe it has less dispersion …

The difference between the DP-27 and DPM is mainly a heavier bipod and an improved placement of the recoil spring, necessitating a pistol grip - the original placement of the spring around the barrel meant it could over heat and lose it’s temper over time, thus losing it’s “springiness”!
Probably it should just have marginally better recoil characteristics due to the pistol grip making it more controllable.
But the amount if difference is common in the DF tech tree between variations of a basic weapon - like Bren gun, BAR, M3 Grease gun, Tommy gun, etc - marginal differences that have more to do with manufacture than anything else, and which DF has over-exaggerated to provide “more options”!

Same issue with the Bren in the US tree. Bren Mk 1 is a Tier 2 / BR 2 LMG while Bren Mk2 is Tier 3/ BR 3. Both guns have identical stats and I really don’t understand why they are not foldered. And I can’t say that the US lack any lmg at Tier 3 because they already have 3 different BAR (two of them being almost identical) and not foldered either.

Focus on length of barrels. That’s the most noticeable difference at first glance.

the safety is the same as the pps42 and the grip is a wooden one.
It was just in the way for me and other people to get to the RD44, because you have to go back and get everything in the line for some stupid reason before you can get fun stuff, and it is almost identical, so yes, a recoil buff would be nice to make up for the matches wasted on getting an almost identical weapon.
