I just blow them up with det packs with my tank crew and then get back in my T-60.
Guess that’s what I get for using the BT-7 instead of the support tank.

My tankers are both armed with explosives and PPDs. I do it all the time.
if by “it” you mean get firing squadded by the 20 infantry that will be watching at any given time, while the other 10 run to blow up your tank before you even finish getting out of it.
That hasn’t been my experience with it at all since I tend to hide the tank before hopping out. I don’t jump out in the middle of the firefight like an idiot.
Tank fights almost never happen in a vacuum. You can’t just choose not to encounter infantry.
I shoot them with the PPD.
yes, and my strategy of capturing objectives is to shoot the other team with a mosin. Anyone who says it’s not that simple is just bad.
So you’re choosing to self-harm and want to force everyone to do the same. How about no. I don’t care if this approach seems to be more fun to you. Or rather I care about your idea of fun about as much as you do about mine. You’re more than welcome to continue doing your thing, though.

I’m not telling everyone to play my way at all. I’m saying I have a solution to tanks that I can’t pen that isn’t just trying to meme the barrel off him like a bad player.
If the enemy tank tends to stick together with the infantry (as anyone with a brain should do), 9 times out of 10 these rambo tactics don’t work.
Tell that to wiping squads with the shitty box mag PPD. Helps to not suck to be completely honest. Which most Soviet players seem incredible at. I’m the only one to ever knock out tanks and stay in the top 3. Regardless of which side I play.
That is what you’re doing, yes.
Nobody else is complaining about taking non-lethal damage when they get hit.
Everyone sees you’re full of shit, and it’s not helping your case.
You were presented with a situation where not having modular damage is a problem. Your answer was supposedly the solution to that problem. So yes, the implication is that everyone should play like you if they want to be branded as
Are you that disingenuous or do you really not understand what you’re even saying?
I highly doubt it would ever come into play in Enlisted as most tanks die in a single hit. Repairing is much more risky here and there aren’t really situations where the only thing a tank can do is shoot an enemy barrel to then flank.
Most tankers abandon their tank, or sit cluelessly, waiting to die, when shot.
not to mention if you only get shot in the barrel, you can escape to your spawn and repair unless you’re in something slow like the T-26.
It’s really not hard to do well in the game.
I just brought up how I dealt with the T-60’s horrible penetration. I wasn’t saying that’s the only way to deal with things you can’t pen. I came up with a solution to get around that ages ago before I unlocked either of the 45mm armed tanks so I didn’t have to deliberately knock guns our or engage them head on. If you have to hammer the barrel to get away from something that’s fine, it’s the one shot sniping that I’m used to from WT and experienced earlier on the church map with a guy in the bell tower that I’m worried about. And like I said earlier in the thread that he very well could have penetrated my turret and knocked my gun out instead of shot my barrel. I couldn’t tell if he did or not since the turret mechanisms are all one piece for the most part.
Why is this a problem? It gives you time to get into cover or bail from your tank rather than killing your crew.
It’s an issue when the guns reload in three seconds, but you could fall back and repair in Berlin since you weren’t immediately hit by repeated follow ups.
