If you chose to spawn from a forward spawn, you shouldn’t be rewarded free kills because someone mag dumps you while you’re immunity. Not to mention the AI will shoot at them, also prob mag dumping. Leaving when you switch with maybe 2 bullets to deal with 8 guys.
Regular spawns, I understand to remove spawn camping. But a bad spawn position shouldn’t be “rewarded” with free kills.

Id argue to shrink the time you get to be immune to like 1/4 of the current time, that way you dont spawn at some badly placed engineers spawn point and get mowed down instantly, and it gives the enemy team time to mow down the guys if they stand around in the open.
Bad placement should be punished, and choosing a bad spawn and losing the tickets is a lesson learned for your next spawn. The issue is even 1/4th is too much.

1-2 seconds is more than enough time for AI to line up their shots and pick you off.

I also agree. Had a match where I was trying to reach a point in a tank and enemies kept spawning at an engi spawn and just walking out into the open to grenade me, surviving a dozen machine gun rounds and even direct cannon shots.

Mina, be glad that wasn’t a bomber squad (or a squad with a bomber which every squad should have.). Piat/Storm Pistol you in one shot.
Yeah, it should really be the opposite. As in, immunity for main spawns, while rallies are not.
Crafty, there is spawn immunity for 5 seconds, issue is 5 seconds from spawn is about the time the bomber/german rocket plane (USA’s rocket plane hits for next to nothing and bounces off all armor.) needs to drop it’s load for the spawn kill.
