as the one on this forum who has complained the most about armor in the past years - I still think body armor has a place in this game, as it actually was used by Soviets on a big scale.
However, the way it works right now is boring and OP. The devs need to think hard how to make a reasonable rework of armor that actually makes sense and even -improves- gameplay.

I experimented myself:
After a long day of work, I sometimes like to take a refreshing pint to decompress a little. If itās over 6% alcohol (often the case with what I drink), I get too relaxed and just play too slowly to be effective on the ground, when I play just after or during the drink consumption.
For some reason my piloting skills in the air arenāt affected or even improved(?!). Maybe being relaxed is better than being constantly paranoid in the airā¦
Note: a single dram of fine whiskey doesnāt affect play. I just act more snobish during it, so I just fly more on purpose.

Thereās way, waaaay too many ppl who think their very being embody a chosen faction, and that this faction opponents are real life enemies.
They take it personally when faction x gains buffs/nerfs and not faction y, and donāt seek real fun balance, but advantages over the others, etc.
Itās really not looking very relaxing to meā¦ thereās a bunch of those, in both forums sidesā¦

Yes, they have TT swords.
Allies got a semi auto shotgun instead.
(Was the same unlock lvl in Pacific campaign).
Letās just say swords are cool, but charging with a sword against shotguns did not work very well
