Remove kill cam but let the player know if it was a bot or player

says who?

You’re not serious are you

Yes and no, often you can find a position with two different angles. Kill some people from one angle, then switch. Another option is to have engineer with you and build some sandbags away from the window deeper into interior. You can rest rifle on sandbag in such a way that when you turn maximum to left or right, you are seen thought the window, or just duck behind the sandbag if you get shot or need to reload. Sandbags protect from anyone trying to shoot you through the walls.
Another option is to set a sandbag such that you are in cover from one side and just go prone next to it, this way you have a narrow sector to shoot (and to get shot from), which makes surviving much easier.
Of course you will be sniped eventually, but prepared position lets you live much longer and hopefully you have more than one sniper.

So far for me, arty team with a sniper worked the best, I don’t use him much for shooting but more for spotting for artillery. Catching a squad in an open, or targeting specific house where you see an enemy, usually results in much better hits than just blindly dropping arty somewhere.

Without killcam it would be way more OP, even worse than in H&G as density of fire there is much less (overall battles are not that loud) and it’s much easier to spot someone by the sound of rifle, compared to Enlisted.

The “no” part is about where all of the above goes into trash bin because you are on Normandy. The maps are such that finding spots for such positions is a pain in the ass and most of the time you are just on your own. Had battles where I’ve ran out of all AP mines and spend more time re-setting barbed wire than shooting…

So, nothing should be allowed to potentially trigger… I mean, lead to frustration, for anyone. Sounds like the game version of modern politics and media.

Did you get your feelings hurt by some campers and snipers?

I deal with them just fine, but giving bad players that camp or snipers sitting in bushes doing nothing to help the team but pad their own K/D another crutch isn’t something I want to advocate for.

On many ocassions in if good enemy sniper is hidden prone in greens even killcam doesn’t help much. They just snipe your entire squad if you’re in the open, before you can spot exact location. Then you can respawn and maybe try again. If there was no killcam at all those kind of sniper would be too OP especislly because Bolt action sniper rifles can hit you across entire map.

There is no K/D in this game, no stats are stored as far as I know so that’s not what it’s about. It’s fun though, and it takes more skill than spray and pray.

And the solution should be an unrealistic arcade thing like kill cam? Add bullet drop instead, so that in a few invasion maps where there is more than a few hundred meters distance one would have to zero in the sights first or account for the drop when aiming. It’s not like we’re able to snipe at 1 km in this game anyway, the maps are too small and if they weren’t there’s so much cover that you can hide from snipers very easily.

Doesn’t help if you can still get shot at from the first angle.

Still doesn’t fix you being forced to go for bots because if you kill a player they will simply countersnipe.

Giving snipers a fair chance of doing their job is not the same as giving them a crutch.

Again, if we made it so snipers only triggered killcam if the target they killed was the last soldier in a squad, they would still be counterable (at least more counterable than mortarmen) but they can at least take out a squad, then reposition.

But what about classes that are SUPPOSED to camp? Like snipers and RTO honestly stealth is a key part of combat with firearms so the kill cam reduces combat to mere line fighting and trench rushes… It most viable strategy…

If I wanted to play like that Id just go play COD as it has better gunplay then…

I dont see snipers being underpowered or needing anything to make them better. If I get a sniper I do fine stat wise, can get 100+ kills in a game just playing 3 sniper squads. (Dont worry I dont play that often for my own sanity xD) which is the same on average as the rest of the playstyles. If you would buff them more, by for instance removing the killcam, I would be easely triple if not quadruple that stat without any hubris or bragging. Snipers are lasers and there are spots you can put a ammo box out of sight and still refill ammo without moving or removing the brace mode and you are invisible. Dont really think that you want that. Imagine D-Day someone laying on top of the hill in a bush, no one can see him and he sees every single player and has unlimited ammo.

That’s a good thing Snipers are able to hold up entire company’s of soldiers not because how how many they are able to kill but because they force people to keep their heads down and slow the group to a crawl…

So if people realize that trying to face a sniper is pointless and a waste of resources it will force players to adapt and change movement strategy’s leading to more dynamic mobility based combat…

Similar train of thought with SAW’s they are meant to slow down and suppress an advance not necessarily get kills…

Because they way its set up right now tactics are basically line fighting and WW1 style trench rushes… the very thing MG’s and snipers were made to counter but unfortunately cant because of how the game currently is.

I will say that it wouldn’t due to have everyone playing snipers at the same time though so I suggest a 50% movement nerf for machine gun crews but double the carriable ammo

And also limiting sniper squads to 2-3 per side depending on map… Rising Storm 2 Vietnam has a system like this.

Nah. You can easily get more with the other playstyles. Near 200 for tanks in a long invasion match, and 150 for mortar or gunner squads.

Aye I can get those with a sniper as well but was taking a kill ammount I could produce every game in invasion no matter the match.
