The squad battle mode uses match-making (MM) system and generally match-matking mechanics (which doesn’t implement drop-in/drop-out) gather around certain number of players from pool and starts a match or session. Now as people aren’t waiting in queue for joining this particular session I think it’s safe to keep the players in match even with their inactive status during the match. I have been playing FPS title for a long time and I have noticed as I grown old that the inactive time in Enlisted is very short comparatively even for standard inactivity regulations found in other games. In comparison with War Thunder, it’s ridiculous how short the inactivity time is. Anyone who is familiar with War Thunder knows that people never gets kicked even with 1 hour inactivity and that’s really great because people can have emergency anytime and with these hard-grind titles such as Enlisted, it’s devastating for players if they loses all hard-earned scores in a session just because he/she took 5 minutes. The game is already hard and keeping this sort of rules would not make it any less comfortable. Also I have found that the sessions can be found very easily hence it wouldn’t matter if someone couldn’t join that particular session just because someone decided to take nap during a match.
I request developer team to remove ‘Kicked due inactivity’ for the game or implement the system differently which will allow players to stay in the session with force-respawned with default squad.
Today I was in a battle and I was on top. I went to toilet and came back just to see that I am sitting in main menu as been kicked due to my inactivity and it was hardly 5 minutes. This is absurd. I lost all my score and medals and I wasted my time. It really breaks your heart.
Enlisted is very fast paced. Inactivity for even 5 minutes is quite a big deal. That could be a good 20% of the match. Maybe even >50% if it’s conquest. Besides, unless you have a booster active, there’s no real punishment. You just return to the menu.
I can tell you that in most matches, if I went away for 5 minutes, the inactivity kick wouldn’t bother me, cause we would’ve lost the game anyway.
TLDR: If you’re inactive for that long, it’s probably better to just quit in advance, as if you’re worth anything to your team, you’ll lose because of that anyway. Inactivity timer was recently increased and feels good now.
It will be better if the player misses 5 minutes than to play the whole match with a team of bots.
In either scenario the match is lost and you’re better off leaving and restarting.
Plus a lot of times, bots are better teammtes than players. Cause they actually play the fucking objective, which seems to be a problem for most players.
