Yeah well the recoil in the game is way too excessive along with the gun dispersion. Like I mentioned before, Arma handles gun handling perfectly compared to Enlisted. Why is Hell Let Loose so popular? They don’t dumb down machine guns in the name of ‘Balance’ instead it’s modeled somewhat decent. Arm sway is implemented flawlessly in Arma 2/3, dispersion is modeled to match the gun’s dispersion in real life.
My whole point is recoil and dispersion do not need to be exaggerated and instead they can introduce more body movements affecting where you are physically pointing the gun. Instead what we have are noodle barrel guns that spit out a bullet that will disperse >1m in a 100m distance.
this is much more what I would like. This is a much better polished gunplay, I hope this is the direction enlisted is heading and just needs more time, and not that it will remain such a goofy game with goofy shooting mechanics.
Totally wrong . All Full catridge rifles and guns are accurate and effective around 650 to 800 meters range. Non of those weapons are that accurate and their bullets less devastating. We also dont have gunsway and reload to balance things out. There is literally no gunsway or stamina effect on weapnholding at all
Effective at damaging at those ranges yes, accurate? Hell no. At 100 meters a Mauser Kar98k has a 2 to 4 inch grouping and that practically doubles every hundred meters. This is why sniper versions of Lee Enfield s, Mausers, ect were made with more accurate barrels (Which were still awful I might add).
Accuracy through volume was more effective a MG-42 on the tripod or even a PPSh-41 in the hands is infinitely more accurate at hitting someone at 150-200 meters since they had about the same accuracy as the standard bolt action, (2-4 inch grouping at 100 meters) but a much higher volume of fire. A MG on a Bipod or Tripod has all of it’s recoil suppressed and in turn basically becomes a bolt action that has constant firepower.
PPSh-41 also has low enough recoil to aim at someone 100 meters away and fire all 71 rounds without the muzzle rising over their silhouette but due to the grouping and vibration you may only hit the target 30-40 times at most.
