Remove detpack from game

Like everyone has seen there is lot of topics about detopack. Thats cause some parts of playerbase finds it problematic.

But mayby instead limiting/nerfing it should be just removed.

But that would make tanks op, right?

Thats why those tanks would get balanced as well by REMOVING HE shells and increasing mg heating something like 3-5 times higher, no more mindless infantry farming and no more annoing deaths from detopacks. Im pretty sure tankers would be happy about that.

Also suddenly every other grenade would be more then viable

REMOVING HE shells? Plane and simple no.

But I agree death packs AVAILABILITY should be nerfed. Give it only to engineers and bombers.

dempacks should be replaced by historical AT grenades like the sticky bombs and RPG-43

Devs just cant nerf at weapons and keeps tank same as currently.

If tankers want reduce at weapons then their ‘anti infantry’ weapons should also be reduced. If detopacks will be removed for most infantry classes then he needs be removed for most tanks.

I will repeat my suggestion from the other thread, to make detpacks only available to regular troopers. This will make them an “early game” AT option, so new players can still engage all ground targets. It also creates a reason to use the regular grenades.

As a newbie, it’s extremely frustrating to get mowed down by tanks you cannot retaliate against. Detpacks would still be strong, but as players level up their accounts and unlock new soldier types, the amount of them on the battlefield would be reduced this way.

It also gives a bit of reason to have some troopers in a squad, instead of them just being “filler class”

They already have it reduced as most of the tank hull mounted MG are not working.

Second, tanks with no commanders cuploa are blind at close range.

Bomb indicator in the tank should be removed. What this means is even if you don’t cook the TNT and tank stands still he is dead → soft nerf for tanks.

AT gun ammo should be increased or it should be resupplyable. How many times did I run out of AT shells on the Pak and I have to reforge the gun again. :nauseated_face:

Bazooka, Pazershreck (Normandy/Berlin) should be added to the game and given exclusively to their own squads as that is how it functioned IRL. Let’s say for example Bomber squad 2. Not every squad should have it as that would then give tremendous advantage to infantry.

What about the full Trooper FG42 squads? Even more OP?

This would be fine if they also limit he to starter tanks. Limiting how much tanks can mow down infantry gives reason to use other grenades

I haven’t seen those on Moscow, but I get better AI performance from full Winchester than full AVS. They wouldn’t be more OP than they already are anyway, nothing would be added to them that isn’t already there.

FG42 is not available in Moscow …

And that is not the point. If you give it to Troopers you did nothing to remove the TNT spam as every squad can be made entirely out of Troopers.

And who needs anything else when you can have full squads of Semi auto troopers even as early as Moscow. Player performance matters more than AI, as good Player can mow down full squad with AVS with ease. And you have additional 8 re-spawns. :nauseated_face:

Mah, even bombers can use semi autos, now I checked. Even more :nauseated_face: :nauseated_face: But at least TNT spam would be nerfed and Bombers would be of some use in every campaign.

i believe this is only the case because of the US where anti tank crews where given an m1 carbine, a bazooka, and some of them had tank destroyers

yeah just remove detpacks, tanks, and automatic firearms while at it

That doesn’t have to mean all other factions need to have it also. At least I hope they didn’t program it that way. :man_facepalming:

It doesn’t have to be totally symmetric to be balanced.

i’m aware though i wouldn’t be surprised if they just coded the class to be the same across the campaigns since that would be the easiest option
